A sudden confession

"(Y/n)!" You turned around to see your crush/best friend headed towards you. Taro Yamada. "Oh Senpai,What brings you here?" You asked,your (long/short) (straight/curly) hair flowing in the wind. School just finished and you were headed for the arcade to play with your friend.

"You see,It's been a while since we last hanged out so I was wondering if you wanted to hangout tomorrow since it's Saturday." You thought about it for a moment. "Hmmm sure why not."

Taro grinned before bidding you goodbye.

As he ran off,something dropped out of his bag. You bent down to pick up his wallet. "Oh,Senpai left his wallet,"You get up before checking the wallet,"Better return it la-What?"

You saw your picture with Senpai during your last hangout in his wallet. You flushed red while walking ahead to the arcade. "Why does Senpai have our picture in his wallet?"

"......Maybe because we're best friends?"

You muttered to yourself as you walked away.

"Hana-chan!" You greeted Hanako whose eyes brightened up as soon as she opened the door. "(Y/n) onee-san!!" Hanako jumped and hugged you,not letting you go.

Hanako was a still small as we were in the last year of middle school.

"So (Y/n) onee-san,which school are you planning on going to?" You furrowed your eyebrows,"I'm not sure yet Hana-chan. I might go abroad to study or I might head to Akademi High." "If Nee-san goes to Akademi,Onii-chan would go there Too! Then I'll also come with you!"

You ruffled her hair,"I'd love for you and Senpai to come with me to Akademi,that is if I go there."

Hanako grinned,"Wait here,I'll go get Onii-chan." As she ran off,You couldn't help but notice a picture frame. It consisted of Senpai's childhood friend,Osana,and Senpai but as you picked up the frame,you noticed a paper sticking out of the back of the frame.

You looked around to see if anybody was there,then opened the back frame to see a letter. It read:

Dear Senpai,
I've been meaning to tell you this for a long time,and I don't want to tell it in person,because I'm so afraid of rejection,so I want to tell you that-

"I like you Senpai." You read out the last sentence before hearing gasps.

You quickly hid the paper behind your back,turning around as you saw Senpai and Hanako with shocked looks. After the procession was done,Hanako jumped in Glee and Senpai just stood there frozen in place.

You blushed a deep shade of red,"Uhh I just-uh..." "Yay!!! Mom!! (Y/n) nee-san likes onii-chan!!!" Mrs.Yamada looked out from the kitchen door with a bright smile,"Really? I knew it was obvious but I didn't expect her to be the first to confess,it was just like back in the day when your father--"

"Yes yes Mom we know how you approached Dad first,now let's give them some alone time!" Hanako said as she pushed her mom back inside.

The both of you looked at eachother awkwardly,both blushing red. He gave you a lop-sided smile before reaching out to you(Get it? No? Never mind),"Um.....You....like me?"

You blushed deeply before looking away,"........Kinda."

You weren't lying,your first love was Senpai,and you've been in love with him from the day you were introduced to each other. But knowing that his childhood friend liked him too....really bothered you.

You pushed that thought aside as Senpai was about to say something--

"BAKA! WHY AREN'T YOU REPLYING TO MY MESSAGES--(Y/n)?" Osana shouted,bursting in through the door then realized that They weren't the only people there.

"What are you doing here Osana." Senpai asked,annoyed that she didn't allow him to say what he wanted.

Ignoring what Senpai asked,she raised an eyebrow at you,"Why are you here?"

You awkwardly smiled at her,"I came here because--" "We're going on a date." Senpai finished as he grabbed your hand.

"WHAT?!" "Osana-chan!~ Don't mess up Onii-chan's date with (Y/n) nee-chan." Hanako quickly dragged Osana (with lots of trouble) to her room.

"Damn you Senpai!!! You told me to look after Hanako just to go on a date..
........" The rest of her words faded as you heard the sound of the door closing.

The both of you looked at eachother before bursting into a fit of laughters.

"Hahaha,Well now that it's over,Shall we head out?" You nodded,Senpai leading you out the door.

You reached towards the end of the date. Senpai and you were still grinning from ear-to-ear as you were still holding hands. You looked around the carnival as you noticed you haven't tried this last ride.

Yes reader,You guessed it right, the Ferris wheel.

You quickly ran inside one of the mobiles as Senpai ran after you.

You sat opposite to eachother.

"Hey,What was the rush about?" Senpai asked,trying to get a hold of his breath. "I just love the Ferris wheel." You said shrugging. You looked outside as a grin creeped on your face. "Thank you,Senpai,for this date. I really enjoyed it." You felt shy all of a sudden because only then did you notice that Senpai shifted his seat next to you.

You slightly choked on your breath as Senpai leaned his head on your shoulder. "Idiot,I should be the one thanking you and don't call me Senpai. Call me Taro." You blushed deeply. Taking a peek at Sen--Taro's face,your heart warmed up seeing his expression.

He had his eyes closed,a gentle smile,his breathing at a steady pace. He looked as of he was at peace.

"I love you (Y/n)." You,a bit surprised by the sudden confession,smiled. "Not because your one of the prettiest girls  at school,or you're one of the most popular people,but because you are my best friend and my first love. Your personality,Your voice,your smile that makes my heart flutter every time. I love all your goods and flaws. I love all of you. So that's why,"He sat up straight and faced you.

"Will you go out with me?"

You suddenly snorted. "....What?"

You couldn't hold it in as you started laughing uncontrollably. "(Y/n)? Why are you laughin--"you jumped on him as you kissed him.

It was as if time stopped and you felt butterflies in your stomach. You stopped laughing as you smiled into the kiss. You felt him kiss back. You stopped kissing as you moved back to your seat,"Sorry I laughed. But that was some pretty cheesy stuff for middle schooler."

Taro blushed deeply before shaking his head. "Shut up...What about my answer?" You smirked,"even after that kiss you still want an answer?" He blushed deeper as he looked away,"........."

You rolled your eyes as you kissed him again,after whispering in his ears.

"Yes."
