It's forever

"Hey Kokona,it's forever." I said to her,looking at the beautiful scenery. She chuckled,"isn't this the same sentence you told me back when we were in high school?"

I grinned,"Hey if I didn't tell you that,we wouldn't be together right now!" She gently smiled before getting up from her chair and kissing me on the lips,"True. Who knew that we would ever end up together?"

______ 3 Years ago _______

"Kokona-chan! Why won't you accept Riku-sama?" Kokona huffed before saying with an irritated face,"look Saki-chan,Riku doesn't like me for me!"

"But he's rich!" "And you're a b!tch." The both of them turned around to see me, (Y/n) (L/n),the most popular boy in Akademi high.

"Ugh. What you do want (Y/n)?!" I grinned as I wrapped an arm around Saki,"Saki dear,can you please give us some time alone?" With hearts in her eyes,she nodded before skipping away. "You may be able to fool the whole school with your eyes but You won't fool me!" I released my flirty facade and looked at her seriously.

"Riku likes you for you. Sure he may be a doofus sometimes but that's cause he wants to make sure you have the best. Why do you think the rumors about you stopped at school? Why do you think Musume doesn't harass you anymore?" Kokona realized that was true. The teasing and the whispering had stopped.

"By the way,don't mention this to Riku. He'd deny it because he's too shy." I said as my chest throbbed.

"M-Maybe you're right. I'll give him a chance." I gave her a genuine smile as I ruffled her hair. "That's my girl."

Kokona's eyes widened. I quickly realized what I had said. A dark blush appeared on my face before I nervously flaunted my arms around,"I-I meant Riku's girl! N-not my girl! Psssh I mean you may be pretty but--Never mind! I'm leaving!" I quickly ran away to my class.

Kokona turned red,giggling as she said,"Maybe he's not such a bad guy."

*Doki* *Doki*

Kokona felt her heart beat faster than usual as realization struck her.

'I don't like (Y/n)....do I?'

____After school___

I saw Kokona near our class door,as if waiting for someone. I smirked, "Hey Riku! Your lovely fair maiden is waiting  for her prince." I shouted,earning a book to be thrown to my face. Luckily my reflexes were fast so I could dodge it. "S-Stop saying it out loud you blundering fool!" I stuck out my tongue as I watched Riki go talk to Kokona. The both of them was laughing over something.

*Thud*

I felt my heart drop for some reason. Sure I've liked Kokona for a long time,but I know she would be better of with Riku. Besides,what kind of friend would I be if I dated the same girl my best friend likes?

I neared the door,glancing at Kokona before looking away quickly. Kokona noticed I was looking at her so I walked out fast.

I avoided Kokona mostly because my poor heart couldn't handle Kokona being lovey Dovey with my best friend. It sucks you know?
