"I want to be Sleeping Beauty, so I'll sleep forever."
Laying on the bed, Eumelia took out his phone (flip-phone) and searched through his music library and found a song he hadn't listened to in a long time.
By the time the song had ended, he was fast asleep in his bed at 6:17 pm.
-
"Young Master?" called out Hiro, who was in front of Eumelia's room, he opened the door a bit to find the young man sprawled on his bed. Hiro sighed then stepped inside then entered his dark room and gave him a small smile while placing a blanket over him. He's been working for Eumelia ever since the teen was a toddler, he's been through good times.... and bad ones. He would sometimes wish that Eumelia would be able to smile like he used to and would appear on a stage, playing his favorite instrument: the Piano.
"At least eat your food," he muttered when he picked up an untouched dinner from the ground. Before leaving, he noticed the uniform he should be wearing to school. He stared at it for a few seconds and left the room, his gray eyes showing determination.
Determination ( dəˌtərməˈnāSH(ə)n): firmness of purpose; resoluteness.
"He's going to school tomorrow, whether he likes it or not," he mumbled.
-
Eumelia was sleeping on his bed, not expecting that his caretaker would open up the curtains and let the sun work its way into Eumelia's eyes.
"It's time for school," said Hiro's voice causing Eumelia to hiss (Yes, mute people can hiss) and curl into a ball under his blanket. Then, the blanket was removed causing him to shiver, grudgingly, Eumelia opened his eyes only to be blinded by the sun. When he was able to see again, Hiro stood in front of him with a white apron, "You're going to school today." Eumelia shook his head but let out a gasp when Hiro had thrown him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"I know you don't want to go but... give this school a try," he carried the teen to the bathroom and let got of him.
"So, you either take a bath yourself or I'm going to give you one," Eumelia looked dumbfounded while he slowly shook his head as Hiro left the bathroom.
'What just happened?' Eumelia thought to himself as he started to undress.
-
Hiro gave himself a triumphant smile when he saw an annoyed Eumelia sitting in the dining room with his school uniform on, "Just you wait, this school is different! It's not filled with brats and.... you'll be the most popular kid in school."
Eumelia looked at Hiro, and in sign language along with a grunt, he said, "That's what I don't want."
"Don't worry about it!" he placed a bowl of rice along with Miso Soup.
"You're awfully excited about this, want to get rid of me that easily?"
"No, I just want to clean that disgusting room while you're gone." Eumelia shook his head as he started eating his breakfast, Hiro sat across from him, "I have a proposal." Eumelia looked up with questioning eyes.
"Since this school doesn't have any spoiled br- teens, then it should be fine. But, if you don't like that school then you'll be able to go to school.... five days a week."
Eumelia put up two fingers as if to say, "Two days a week."
"Four."
"One."
"Three." Eumelia thought for a second and nodded reluctantly, he stood up and placed his empty bowls in the sink.
Hiro stood and grabbed the car keys, "Come on, don't want to be late now." Eumelia sighed and grabbed his bag before going out.
-
He looked out the window with indifference, there were some people entering the school, some were staring at the fancy car that was driving up to the school. Eumelia grunted to get Hiro's attention.
"Yes?"
"Why did you take me to school?"
"Well, I heard that the young man who played the piano a few months ago attended at this school."
".....I already knew that."
"I also want you to make new friends. Oh, and before you say, 'I don't need any friends,' Don't think I don't see you staring at groups of friends who pass by with longing."
There was a moment of silence until Hiro said, "We've arrived, if you want, you can stay inside the car until school starts or walk around the school until school starts." Eumelia thought for a second and grabbed his bag, "I'm going to explore."
Hiro smiled, "Ok then, have a nice day." Eumelia rolled his eyes as he opened the door to the car and stood outside. He stayed there until he couldn't see the black car anymore, he then looked up to see a school... that he was going to enter....right.. now....
The Greek-American sighed and walked inside the school. A few minutes later, he was wandering the school halls lost, and that was when he heard a faint sound of piano keys. It piqued his interest, so he decided to look for the source of the music. As the music became louder, he recognized the song, 'Blumenlied?' He finally reached the room where it was being played. He poked his head inside to find a young man playing the piano. Eumelia's baby blue eyes widened as he recognized the young man as Kousei Arima, the Breathtaking Pianist. But before he was able to finish playing there was an unexpected interruption.
"Kousei! Where ar-" a loud voice yelled behind Eumelia causing the pianist to stop playing and look to find his friend Tsubaki staring at a taller male with black hair.
"I don't think I've seen you around here," Tsubaki stared at him for a while until realization fell, "Oh, aren't you the new guy that was supposed to come three months ago?" Eumelia slowly nodded as he tried to back away from the girl, 'Skatá, I'm not sure if they know sign language.
σκατά (Skatá): Shit
