"You're beautiful."

He tucked my hair behind my ear as I followed his hands with my eyes and admired his actions. His  pure, pale blue iris' projecting genuinity, face glowing with sincerity. As he drop his hands to  his sides, the urge to have them holding mine grew. It was his smile that tugged on my heart.

"Niall." I managed to croak.

I kissed him. The way our lips connected was different than anything I've ever felt before. His hands wrapped around my waist as he pulled me closer. Something about his lips against mine made me feel alive, it struck something that was unusual to me. It was understood that this, this kiss could conclude to many endings, good or bad. But right at that moment, I was content.

His face grew red as his smile grew bigger than I’ve ever seen, evidently taken aback by my doings.

"What was that for?" He cleared his throat, still grinning like a mad man.

I shrugged my shoulders, "stuff." I smirked. “What’s the time?”

Orange skies filled the horizon as the night blended its way in, colours of blue gradually disappearing. I sat amazed at what I was witnessing.

“Amber, we need to go." Niall now said worriedly.

“What? What’s wrong?” I asked.

“It's sunset.”

“What are you a werewolf? Yes it's sunset, and?” I responded.

Niall shuffled his feet, “Love, I'm afraid we've lost track of time. School’s been finished for a good 2 hours now and-”

"I'm meant to be at home right now helping out, my Mum's going to kill me!" Panic evident in my voice.

I looked around hoping we weren’t too far away from my house, and luckily it’d only take around 10 minutes to get home. Yet from the sight of it, the buses would take an eternity at this rate.

Niall scanned the area and quickly spotted our only way to get back, if not on foot. "Hey. Quick! I found a bike in the corner!” He remarked.

“YOU UNLOCKED IT. IT’S NOT OURS!” I slightly shouted.

“Oh well! Come on!” He said as he got on and signalled for my attendance.

“But there’s only one seat!!” I whined.

“But there are pegs on ‘em! Just come on Ambs!” Niall grabbed me and helped me up onto the back of the bike.

“THIS ISN’T SAFE.”

“Hold on to me.” He calmly said, trying to reassure me.

Niall started riding the bike down the road, only now have I noticed how many corners and turns we had to take. “AMBER PLEASE HOLD ON PROPERLY. ” He shouted.

I ignored him. “NIALL. THERE’S A HILL!”

Without thinking I grabbed hold of his waist. My chest pressed against his back as the tailwind pushed us against each other. I tucked my face closer to his neck, the vibration of his back indicating his laughter for this situation.

As we arrived to my house I stepped down from the bike to see Niall smirking, obviously enjoying what had just happened.

“We will not talk about this. Ever.” I exclaimed as we stood in front of my  little light beige house. I open the front door and stepped inside.

“Whatever you say Amber. You should hold on to me more often.” He winked whilst shoving his hands in his pockets.

“In your dreams Horan.” I laughed.

“Alright. Bye babe.” He said cycling away.

I shook my head as I giggled at what had happened today. I don’t really know what I’ve gotten myself into. But I don’t regret it one bit.

Today was March 27th 2009. Nothing can get better than this feeling I have right now.

"What is it Mother?" I shouted as I closed the door.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My mobile phone rang as I remembered to remind myself to change my ringtone. "I'm A Barbie Girl" just wasn't cutting it anymore.

“AMBER YOU BITCH. You were supposed to have lunch with me today and you didn’t even say goodbye! Where the fuck did you go? I feel so sad.” She let out a deep breath.

I groaned. Turning to face the clock on top of my side table, it read 4:30am.

“I’m leaving for the airport in 5 minutes." Brianna's voice clearly disappointed.

“You know what?" I rubbed my eyes. "I’ll do the talent show with you. Even if it is going to be tough. I’ll go before school and afterwards in the music room. But you owe me! When you get back, why I oughtta-“

I heard a loud scream in the opposite side of the line and I knew she was freaking out.

She squeeled. “THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANKS BABYYY!”

“Mmhm. Save the thank yous. Just have a nice trip and stay safe okay?” I reminded.

“Yes mummy. You too! It was funny yesterday, I was walking home and I saw two people riding a bike like lunatics down my road. I really thought it was you but nah. OH." She chuckled. "I hope you had fun with Niall yesterday.” She immediately hung up the phone afterwards, knowing that I would tell her off. I ignored it. I was just so happy to finally get some sleep. Weekends were the best times. A nice lie in. A warm cuppa. Everything about this whole process was magnificent. My eyes began to droop and soon I had fallen asleep once more. Life was swell.

"I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world! Life in-"

“HELLO!? WHAT THE FUCK. WHO IS THIS!? Do you not keep track of the time or something? Let a girl sleep! Oh my fu-“

“Amber? It’s 3pm! DID YOU EVEN PICK UP CHARLIE LIKE I ASKED YOU TO!?" Mum sighed.  "Pick him up like I said and bring him to the kids party. I told you about this last night! I promised Nina we'd help her out!”

“OKAY, okay. Calm." I replied, hanging up.

Who the hell was Nina?
