P.s, each chapter may not be connected because i simply don't want it to as i believe that my writing skill has not reached the point that i am able to write everything with connection (i am worried that it would turn out to be even more boring than it already is).
Elly talks,
'Taxi! Taxi! Stop!!!,' deep-throat screaming as I rushed over to the moving cap. I've been catching one for half an hour now, it either passed by or got on by other passerby.
'Thank you,' as I got on the taxi of a middle-age generous man.
Maybe it's because today is Monday, the working day, everyone seems to be so busy, not to mention of the busy road.
'Oh crap, look at the traffic!' I unknowingly commented out of my surprise. We are stuck and most importantly we are on the bridge!
I usually got out of my home at 1pm since I have an afternoon shift at my company. Therefore, I barely had an idea of how busy the road would be on a freaky morning.'Yeah, it's often like that on Monday since everyone has to rush to work,' said the taxi driver as he glanced at the rear mirror at me.
I look at my watch and it's already 20 minutes over the schedule! I bet the guy I'm supposed to meet would be pissed and gone by now thinking of the ignorant rumors of him.
'Sir, if we are close to the hotel yet?' Asked me impatiently.
'Yes, we are. We only gotta ride off this bridge and go straight a bit and it'd be on our left.' he responded. 'It's just a bit more, we are waiting for the traffic light right now, the line may be a bit long but it's almost over.' He continued.
'ahh, thank you,' I thanked him but still look at the road anxiously and hesitantly, I want to get off and walk to the hotel a bit but at the same time, I'm worried because I'm in my high-heels and a knee-length pencil skirt now. I can't get off looking like this.
"Oh god, I'm a dead meat, it's already 9:45am, 45 minutes late!" Thinking to myself as I've walked in the hotel and looking around for someone whom my dad had described for me briefly.
The place is not bad, it's the five stars hotel with the same stars applies to the restaurant, here's one of the best hotels in town. The decoration is simple yet so classy and romantic even it's morning.
I roamed around looking for a man in his late twenties and spotted an eye-catching one. He's in his white branded shirt covered by a black half causal and half formal jacket. He looks sincere and annoyed as he looked at his watch and turned the page of his book, he must have read it to kill time.
That must be the man.His choice of table is great, it's right next to the open garden.
I immediately walked to his table as he sipped his coffee praying he's not too mad.
'Hey, I'm sorry, I'm a bit too late,' I sincerely apologized as soon as I've arrived at the table with assurance that's it's really him, the one I'm supposed to meet. 'I'm Emilie J. Wilson, you can call me Elly for short.' I reached out my hand for a shake.
'Oh yeah, it's okay, not that late, I've just arrived at the moment too. I'm Carlos Gutierrez, call me Carlos.' He said standing up and shook my hand with a wide smile.
He must be lying to make me feel good since there are two cups of coffee on the table with one emptied.
"wow, he's different from what I've heard of" thinking to myself as I sat down.
