Chapter 15
Three weeks passed by really quick. I went to therapy everyday and stayed to myself. I even went school shopping by myself. I'm officially a senior. One more year of hell. It was the first day of School and I had a good feeling about this year. I Put on my uniform which was a navy blue skirt and white collar shirt and the school tie which I never wore. I put on a gray navy cardigan along with my high socks and combat boots and put my new knee brace over it. I was heeling pretty well according to my doctor and with a lot of therapy I should be fine. I went down stairs to where my chef was preparing me breakfast and sat on the stool in front of him.
"Two eggs, bacon, an everything bagel with extra cream cheese, and a Carmel ice coffee to go" The chef said while laying the breakfast out in front of me.
"Lando you know me so well" I said while taking a bite out of my bagel.
"Glad to have to have you back" he said with a smile.
I drove to school in my all black Camero and parked in the student parking lot. As soon as I stepped out the car a couple guys nodded at me and some made comments on my car. I took out my schedule and found my locker number. Locker 231. I opened the locker and started loading my belongings in it. I put a picture of Simi on the inside and put a magnet over it. I looked at my schedule again and saw my first class. Yearbook, sounds fun I thought to myself. As I started to close my locker I felt two arms wrap around me from behind and a face begin to dig into my neck. I turned around pushing to no surprise Raymen off of me and slapped him in the face.
"Don't you ever. I mean ever, put your hands on me again" I yelled before turning and walking away.
He looked shocked. Couldn't even move from the position he was in with his hand over his cheek. I arrived to my first class where I saw some familiar faces but no one I really talked to, even though I didn't really talk to people. The teacher was assigning us to our cameras when someone walked into the classroom late. I didn't look up from my fascination with the Nikon.
"Sorry I'm late, I was rather lost."
As soon as I herd the British accent my face shot up only to meet the one and only Anthony.
"Seriously dude, not ok" I yelled.
"Darling that's not how you greet a person you dearly missed" he retorted.
Some girls were practically drooling from his accent. I rolled my eyes and dropped my face down on my desk. I felt him pat my head twice before taking the seat next to me. The bell rang soon after and I jumped to my seat to try and leave before I bumped in to Raymen again or god forbid Anthony tries to talk to me again.
I stood by my locker searching through my bag for my schedule and was about to give up until someone put it in front of my face.
"Darling you left in such a hurry that you dropped this."
I snatched the paper out his hand and shut my locker.
"Anthony what the hell are you doing here" I asked with the straightest face I could make.
"Well..." he started while leaning on the locker. "I thought you're father would have told you by now, but I'll be staying with your family for my what do you call it ... oh senior year, because my retched mother wanted me to have a year as a foreign exchange student to look better for Harvard. You see now, while my mother and I believe your father was having a conversation one day he enlightened her about you going to a top Ivy League school and my wonderful mother jumped to the opportunity."
I rolled my eyes and leaned on the locker.
"Hey don't think I'm too big on this anyway. I would love to be back home with the people I know, but sadly mummy calls the shots."
"Sadly she does" I replied.
"Aye Cheer up bumpkin, I have you in four classes."
I was pretty sure my eye started twitching. The odds. I have the worst luck. The rest of my next period consisted of Anthony complaining about having seven classes in one day, and how he actually likes the uniform, but other than that English was ok. My next class was Honors French year four. I hated the teacher, he acts like something is up his ass. After my fourth class I had B lunch. I walked in to the cafeteria, more like a fancy food court with Anthony and walked over to the sushi line.
"How can Americans eat such food" Anthony said with a disgusted face while looking at a boy eat a burger.
"They're actually pretty good."
"Nonsense."
I rolled my eyes and picked up my tray of food and walked to the cashier.
"Raymen!"
I looked back to see Anthony walking over to where Raymen was and give him a hug. I turned quickly hoping he wouldn't have a balls to come up to me, but sadly I was wrong.
"Zalyina how come you didn't tell me Raymen came here as well" Anthony asked.
"You never asked" I said coldly not once looking at Raymen.
I picked up my food and walked out side to the table I always sat at. I've never liked eating inside it was always too cold and my food that was usually hot when I got it would feel like it just came out the refrigerator. I popped open my can of coke and took a sip.
"Zalyina can we please talk" Raymen said while sitting next to me.
Anthony set his plate down and sat in front of me with a smile on his face.
"There's nothing to talk about."
"Hell, there is" he yelled.
"Nope" I said while popping the P. "There really isn't" I said before taking another sip of my soda.
"Shit Zalyina can you please look at me. At least tell me what I did wrong. Let me fix it. Please."
I laughed while putting a piece of sushi in my mouth.
"Oh now it's funny huh."
"Yup" I replied coldly.
He stood there for a sec before reaching over and picking up my plate and holding it up above him. My face shot towards him and he backed up one step.
"Listen don't play games with me right now" I said trying to keep my cool.
"Tell me what I did."
"Give me my food back Raymen."
"Tell me first."
"Give me my god damn food back" I yelled.
"Tell me what I did."
"GIVE ME THE FUCKING FOOD!"
"TELL ME WHAT I FUCKING DID!"
I was mad now. No more like furiated. The fact that he has not even the slightest clue makes it even worse.
I slapped the plate out his hand and he tried to catch it before it fell to the floor.
"You wanna know!" I yelled while forcing back a tear. "How about, We got the money in the bank this morning. I'm actually shocked that you and Manuel's stupid little plan worked" I said quoting the text that his sister sent him. It never left my head.
His face dropped and he right then knew what I was talking about.
"Ly... Ly..." he stuttered but couldn't get my name out.
I picked up my bag and left with not even the thought of listening to one word he had to say.
Raymen POV
As soon as she quoted those words my heart dropped. I tried saying her name but the words just couldn't come out my mouth. I saw the pain on her face and it practically killed me. I fell in love with this girl and she was hurt... by me. She already had trust issues and I probably just defined the exact reason why she had them. She's never going to forgive me. But I need to try to explain myself to her. She'll never give the time of day but I'll find a way how.
