Could This Be Love

Chapter 1

Lulu couldn't believe that this was happening. How could she and Dillon be so careless. All she wanted and thought about was giving Dillon her virginity. Neither one of them had thought about protecting themselves.
Now here she was a few weeks later only to find out that the Quartermaine's had manufactured a defective batch of condoms. Lulu had just left the hospital after getting confirmation that she was in fact 6 weeks pregnant. Now all she had to do was tell Dillon. She's tried to call him but he hasn't returned any of her messages so she decided to head over to Kelly's and tell him there.

Lulu arrives at Kelly's and heads inside to see him at the counter talking to Georgie when she walks away to tend to a costumer. Lulu then walks over towards the counter and sits down next to him.

"Hey, I've been trying to reach you for weeks. I left you a few messages." Lulu says.

Dillon doesn't bother to look at her as he stares into his coffee cup "I know. I'm sorry. I've been really busy. I got your messages. I've just been trying to sort through how to tell Georgie. Have you told anyone?"

"No, I haven't. I'm still trying to come terms with everything. Listen, if you don't want anything to do with me or the baby then you don't have to worry about it." Lulu says to him when she sees Sonny walking in and smiles at him.

Sonny walks in and sees her and walks over to her and leans in and kisses her before he pulls back to give her the flowers.

"Hey, sweetheart. Sorry, I'm late. My business meeting ran later than than I thought it would. How are my two favorite people? Has the baby been good since I left last night?"

Lulu smiles back at him as she reaches out and cups his face.

"Thank you. The flowers are beautiful. You didn't have to get me flowers. Yes, the baby has been very good although he or she has been kicking me in the ribs. We've missed you. The baby loves it when I talk about you or when we're together."

While this is going on Dillon can't help but be jealous of Lulu talking to Sonny. He clears his throat.

"Hey, I'm sorry to interrupt but since when are you and Lulu a couple? I mean your old enough to be her father. Not to mention that the baby she's carrying is mine."

While this is going on Dillon has no idea that Georgie is standing behind him and has overheard everything and is in tears.

"You jerk!! I can't believe you cheated on me and got Lulu pregnant! We're done!" Georgie says to Dillon.

Dillon sighs as he looks at Georgie "NO! Georgie, we can get past this!"

Georgie doesn't say anything to him but then turns to Lulu.

"Congratulations, on the baby. Are you and Sonny a couple?"

Both Sonny and Lulu look at Georgie and then back at each other.

"Uh...... I don't know. I mean the last time I checked you were still married to Carly. Or has that changed?"

Sonny looks at both Georgie and Lulu before he leans in and takes Lulu's hand in his.

"Carly and I are through. She cheated on me.and I filed for an annulment. I'm a single man.. I want to be there for you and the baby if you want me to be."

Lulu smiles at him as she nods her head.

"Yes, it's what I want. You've been there for us since the night I told you about the pregnancy. I want you to share this experience with you. I want you to be the baby's father."

Georgie smiles at Lulu and Sonny but then turns her attention to Dillon.

"If your not going to man up and take responsibility then you should let Lulu and Sonny raise the baby. As far us we're done."

Dillon  looks at all three of them in shock and then storms out of Kelly's.

"Well, I better get back to work. Hey, is there anything That I can get for the two of you?" Georgie asks Lulu and Sonny.

Both Lulu and Sonny look at one another before they look turn back to Georgie.

"Double fudge chocolate chip brownies and hot chocolate."

Georgie smiles as she writes down their order"All rings. I'll be right back."

They both nod at her as she leaves before they look at at one another.

"Did you mean what you said about wanting to be there for me and the baby?"

Sonny gives her a dimpled grin.

"Of could I meant what I said. Lulu, I enjoy spending time with you and getting to spoil your and the baby . I want to continue to do that. If you'll let me."

Lulu returns the smile as leans into him resting her head against his.

"I want that. I want us to be a family and raise the baby together. And who knows maybe we'll give him or her a little brother or sister later on."

Sonny smiles at her before he leans in and cups her face in his hands and then leans in and kisses her softly on her lips before he pulls back from the kiss.

"I love the idea of giving our son or daughter a little brother or sister later on. That is whenever you're ready."
