~Karin~

After witnessing my chakra instantaneously heal his wound, he dragged me out of my holding cell into a torch lit room, "Wait here, hon. The boss it going to love you..."

I swallowed any remaining fear I was holding in and took the chance to drop kick him onto the floor of the room and locked the door behind me. "Hey, hon, now why don't you wait here."

"You little bit-" He began to curse at me, but I shushed him.

"I've got to get going, maybe we can chat about this later," I smirked to myself walking away. I hope that rat rots in that cell, his chakra is absolutely disgusting. Wait-his chakra. I could sense the chakra around me, the children they're here, they were all here. That explains why we couldn't find them, they were literally under our noses.

I needed to get back to Sasuke-kun and the others, there was no way I could do this on my own even if I wanted to. I pushed myself to run down the hall, my heart racing every-time I passed another corner. I was worried I'd run into someone I couldn't sense. I mean this village capable of blocking me out before. As I thought I was getting closer to the exit, someone yanked me to the side by my arm, covering my mouth with their hand. "You didn't think you were the only sensory-type here did you?"

Tears formed in my eyes, realizing how close I had been to escaping. "No one goes by unnoticed in this village, not even your friends," His raspy tone whispered to me. "I'm the one in charge here, and I'm not about to let some little red-head spoil my fun."

He removed his hand from my mouth and held both of my arms behind me. "What do you need with these kids? Why do they have to be removed from their homes in order to fulfill your plans?"

He sighed pushing me forward down the hall to the right. I wasn't sure where we were heading, but then again, I'm not sure I wanted to. "My plan for these children are none of your concern. But, maybe if you were hoping to rescue them, we could make a little deal."

"What kind of deal?" I asked. None of these children deserved to be pulled away from their families in order to be used as his pawns in this sick game of his. I already knew how it felt to be used, what it felt like to lose the people closest to you. I couldn't watch these kids suffer the same fate.

"We can talk about the details later, but let's just say my informant Akui did manage to shout out some minor details through the cell door before I came to capture you," My teeth clenched. This was happening all over again, wasn't it? "I will say decent job on that escape attempt. Akui is usually on guard, so I applaud you."

"I saw an opportunity and took it, what can I say?" I rolled my eyes. The hallways went on and on, but with every left and right we made, I was sure to remember which way we were heading. If I had another chance, I would make it worth it.

He froze in place, letting go of my hands and turning his head. I knew exactly what he felt in that moment, it was him...Sasuke-kun. As he was distracted, I kicked him towards the wall, causing him to cough up blood. He grabbed me by the ankle and twisted it, causing me to wince in pain as blood trickled out of his mouth. Those deep, dark green eyes he had widened and his pupils contracted in blood lust. Before he took it a step further, he picked me up off the ground by the color of my shirt and pinned me to the wall. My feet dangled just barely above the dirt floor, my toes slightly brushing against pebbles beneath me. "Looks like you need to make a decision. I can sense the chakra within you, it's more than I was able to gather even with all these children. You will be of more use to me."

He put his other hand to my throat, making it difficult to breathe, "So, what's it going to be? You offer yourself over to me in exchange for the children or do I let you go and continue with my plan?"

I gasped as he loosened his grip, "You won't get away with any of this. Even if I choose to save myself, we can take back the children you've been holding hostage."

He snickered and shook his head, "If you manage to collect the children, who says that I won't escape and continue this in another village? I know every escape route, the ins and outs of this place. It would be simple to slip out of your hands undetected."

He threw me to the ground, hovering over me, "So what's it going to be, Sweetheart?"

"Fine, take me instead. But if any of these children are harmed, I will fight back," I agreed to his deal.

"I swear, cross my- Well, I just swear," He smirked slinging me onto his back. Sasuke was in his hideout, just a few left and rights down the maze of hallways. But it was too late for me to call out his name, the children would be returned home and left unharmed.

The mysterious perpetrator swiftly moved throughout his hideout, ordering his men to release the children and leave through the tunnels. He turned his head to the side and looked at me. "Seems it's time to go, sweetheart. Say your goodbyes."

Sasuke, I'm sorry there was no other choice...

~Sasuke~

Every cell was filled, they reached their hands weakly out of the spaces between the bars. Every one of them had dark circles and filthy clothing.

"Sasuke-Kun!" I heard my name being yelled. But when I turned around, it was Sakura, Juugo, and Suigetsu running towards me. My heart dropped thinking it was Karin.

"Where's Karin? Have you found her yet?" Juugo asked looking all around us.

"No, I haven't. How did you get past the genjutsu?" I wondered since it was stronger than most I've come across.

"I wasn't able to dispel it myself, but just a minute ago it just wore off," Sakura said with a worried expression etched across her face.

"Don't just leave me here, you fucking bastards!" We all heard someone shout from down the hall. "Get the dumb bitch and get me out of here!"

We ran towards the frustrated shouts, seeing a door at the end vibrate from being pounded on. I forcibly kicked open the door and saw a man groan from being hit with the metal door. "Who the hell are you?"

"Shouldn't we be asking you that?" Suigetsu raised an eyebrow, pointing his finger at him in the form of a gun.

"Ah so you're that bitch's friends,"He stood up, dusting himself off. Was he talking about Karin?

"Was she about yay tall?" Suigetsu kept blabbering like an idiot. Sometimes I wondered if his humor was truly a deflection of his worry. "Red head with a terrible temper?"

"Suigetsu shut the hell up!" Sakura raised her voice at him, trying to punch his face in. But he was already used to Karin's abuse that he just formed into water.

"Yeah that's her. Snake locked me up in here and ran off," He said with venom in his tone. Knowing Karin, it was all for good reason.

"Do you know what happened to her?" I questioned him, threatening him with the edge of my blade to his jugular.

"Take it easy," He tensed up, pushing my katana lower. "I wouldn't count your blessings though; the boss knows who enters and leaves the village and even more the hideout. He probably has her."

"Who is he?" I demanded him to answer me with an unwavering glare. I had one of snakes sliver up his leg and around his neck.

"He goes by Aza, but we all know him by Azamuku," He confessed to us. "I don't know where he took her though or if he actually has her."

"Grab him Juugo, he might be an asset to us. As for the children, we should free them immediately. I'm going to see if I can find anything." I ordered them. Sakura silently looked at me through the corner of her eye and walked past me with Suigetsu.

"Where the hell are you, Karin," I mumbled to myself, more worried than I was aware.
