A/N : Sorry it haven't updated this story for so long. I've been very busy with other stories, and I'm starting high school soon, so... yeah :0. This takes place a couple months before the deaths of Mike and Vince.
Norman Cade was a shy person. It sure didn't seem like it when he was around his gang, but when he was in class he was very quiet. Especially around the girl he's had a crush on since second grade. Heather Tastily.Sometimes Norman suspected she liked him too, but then again who could love a greaser. Heather wasn't a Soc, she was middle class. Some middle class people didn't care for the greasers either. It was one particular day Norman's suspicions were high.

'' Alright class as you all know art is all about expressing yourself, so I want you to draw a portrait of something you have strong feelings about. It could something you despise, or something you love,'' the art teacher Mrs. Daniels explained. Everyone grabbed some paper and started to draw. Norman sat next to Heather in art class, and her being thew curious girl she is asked questions.
''So, Norman, what are you drawing?''
Norman slowly turned his head towards Heather. She looked at him in a way she has never before. It made Norman's stomach do back flips.
'' S-something I hate.''
''And what would that be?''
Norman quickly thought of something clever to say. ''The school.'' Heather chuckled a bit.
''Norman you're so funny.'' Norman blushed at Heather's compliment to him. Someone called him, a greaser, funny instead of loud, or obnoxious. And this was coming from the girl he likes.
The only reason why Norman drew the stupid school was to get some laughs. If he were to draw something he loves everyone knew it would be a ham sandwich. That wouldn't be very funny.
The rest of art class Norman and Heather talked about all kinds of things. He would have something to tell all the guys later.

'' So Normie finally got his dream girl?'' Mark asked with a grin spread across his face.
'' I didn't get nothin'. We were only flirtin' .''
''First ya flirt then ya score,'' Mike told him. '' I would know.''
'' Since when is Heather Tastily, little sister of Courtney Tastily, interested in you?'' Annie asked.
'' What do ya mean?''
'' Courtney's a greaser and Heather's a mid.''
''Oh.''
''Don't worry 'bout nothin', '' Ean said. ''Ain't no surprise ya got her. You are the best lookin' in the group.'' After Ean said that Mark put a hand over his heart.
''Sorry Ham sandwich man, but that's me.'' Mark argued.
''Actually it's Jack. He's got more girls chasin' after him,'' Jo said. Jack nodded at Jo's statement.
''Heather's really cool. You guys will get along great,'' Sussie told Norman.
''Yeah.'' Norman replied.

Norman walked alone to the dollar store with a few bucks so he could pick himself up a cheap bottle of mens' body spray or something like that. If he wanted to impress Heather he had to smell nice, and not like hair grease or anything else that a greaser smells like.
Unfortunately today was not so lucky as he thought because some Socs were waiting in the ally Norman decided to walk down.
''Look at the little greaser,'' the tall Soc said to his Friends. The blond haired Soc laughed. The other one didn't do anything. The remaining two Socs cornered Norman.
''Get him Billy!'' Soc number one commanded. Billy tackled Norman. Norman fell in a pile of dirt.
''Now look what ya did!'' Norman yelled. ''Ya dirtied up my jeans! Now I gotta do laundry again.''
''Funny, I thought greasers lived in the dirt.'' Billy said in a nasty tone.
''We do,'' a figure from the shadows said. Billy and the blond kid turned around only to come face to face with Vince Shepard.
''Well if it ain't the dirtiest greaser in Tulsa.'' With that Vince hit billy square in the jaw. While Billy was down on the ground Vince leaped on the other Socs and threw punches and kicks at them. They eventually ran off. Vince went by Norman to help him up.
''You okay kid?''
''Yea. They didn't do nothin'.''
''Socs can't do anything.''
''Yeah.''
''Where ya headed to anyways?''
''I gotta get somethin' that doesn't make me smell so greaserish.''
''Who's' the lucky lady?'' That scared Norman. That's something Mike and Vince Shepard had in common. You ddin't have to tell them too much information on a certain topic, they could figure it out themselves. Only difference was for Mike that talent didn't come academically.
''Heather Tastaily.''
''As in lil' sis of Courtney Tastaly?''
''Yup.''
''Good luck kid,'' Vince said before walking away. Norman continued his walk tot he dollar store.

Norman looked in the mirror and judged his reflection. His judgment was that he looked good. He made sure his hair didn't have too much grease in it, his shoes were tied properly, he smelled decent. For the first time in his life Norman was excited to go to school. Once he checked everything he left.Heather looked good too. Her blonde hair was in a tight ponytail, her cloths looked brand new, and her breathe smelled minty fresh. The two had art together and Norman cracked jokes left and right. Mark taught him a couple.
''Norman, you're hilarious,'' Heather laughed. ''Where did you learn to be suck a joker?''
''My buddy. He's a wise cracker.''
''So I was wondering,'' she started off slowly, ''would you like to hang out this weekend?''
Norman felt his heart skip a beat. Heather just asked him out. The girl of his dreams.
''Sure. How 'bout the Dingo.''
''Sounds great,'' Heather said with a blush rushing to her cheeks. The same happened to Norman.
Once Norman told everyone about his date they all had a mini party for him. Even greasers can score a good girl.
