That's why Mike and Vince were so bitter.

Tim Shepard heard a knock at his door. He was a twenty four  year old greaser. He had a hangover from one of Buck's parties. Dally however wasn't there. Tim began to wonder why but then remembered Dally had a five month  old baby, Ean Winston; and because of that Dally pretty much went soft. When Tim opened the door no one was there. But he did hear crying. He looked down and saw a little infant on his door step. He picked the child up. He was scared because it looked just like him. There was a note attacked. He read it.

Dear Tim,

This is my one year old son, Vince. He is also your one year old son. He just turned one a few days ago. I know you don't like children, but I do not have any of the resources needed to take care of this child. I kept him for a year to see how things would go and they went horrible. I love my son so much, I just can't do it. Please take good care of him but if you don't want to, find someone who will. He needs plenty of care. I love him so much. I'm counting on you.

~ Sylvia Davis

Tim remembered Sylvia. He slept with her quite a few times, but he never imagined she would get pregnant. He looked a this son. It was defiantly his child. That much was obvious, but the real question was would he be able to take care of a baby?  He was  a hood, a JD, and a criminal. Could he really give all that up? He thought of something.

He could always get help from Dally and Ponyboy. Both of them had children. But first he had to get a few things for his child. He grabbed the phone and called Curly.

''What's up Tim?''

''I need you to babysit.''

''Babysit? Babysit 'at?''

''I'll explain later.''

''Kay.''

Tim waited for Curly to come. And when he did he explained everything. Curly's jaw dropped in shock.

'' You're a father? I'm an uncle? Angela's an aunt?''

''Yeah. Can you take him while I get some stuff.''

''Sure.''

''His name is Vince by the way.''

''Okay.''

Tim went out and bought some things for his son. By the time he got back Vince was already asleep.

''Was he good.''

''As gold. I don't think you're goin' to have a lot of trouble with him Tim.''

''That's a relief.''

When Curly left Tim went to go check on his sleeping son. He looked just like him. He hardly had any of Sylvia's looks. Tim felt a little smile creep on his face. At least this kid was a boy.

---6 months later---

''Where ya goin' daddy?'' 1 and a half year old Vince asked his dad.

''I'm going to meet someone.''

''Who?''

''Someone special.''

''If you'we goin' who's gunna watch me?''

''Aunt Angela.''

''Yah.'' Little Vince said while smiling. He loved his aunt Angela. Vince was especially excited because his second birthday was only a month away.

''See ya buddy.''

''Bye daddy.''
