Make Time (Part 1) (Brett Talbot)

"Maybe we should do our movie night today?" Isaac eagerly suggested.

"Maybe. I'm not yet sure. This is the first time we are not going with the schedule. And I'm not sure Brett would like that." Y/N answered, hesitant.

"Brett? Again? Why does he always need to approve?" Isaac asked, irritated.

"He doesn't really trust you. He is my boyfriend, so I think he needs to know." You answered.

"*sigh* and if he doesn't approve? What will you do? Persuade him?"

"If I have to." Y/N answered back, still hesitant.

To be honest Y/N doesn't know what to do. If Y/N tells Brett, he will be furious. If Y/N doesn't, Brett would still be enraged .

It is not a win-win situation. "It's fine, Y/N. I can smell your anxiousness. We'll just follow the schedule." Isaac answered.

"Are you sure?" Y/N is worried it will ruin her relationship with her best friend, and also ruin her relationship of 3 years with Brett.

Dismissal came, Y/N went out and saw Brett waiting for her. Going near him, she questioned, "Don't you have practice?" And they started walking home.

"Nah, coach didn't show up. Are you okay?"

"Huh? Yeah, I'm okay." Y/N kept zoning out.

Brett frowned at that. "You can tell me anything, you know that right?"

"I know, I know. It's just Isaac wanted to do our movie night today, and I told him that I was going to ask you and he got irritated. And then he told me that it's fine and we will just follow the schedule." Brett stayed silent, he could smell that you were worried. 

"Brett? Are you okay? You smell like you're mad."

"I'm okay. Don't worry about it." Brett answered.

But you know it was a lie, you heard his heartbeat. And you know he knows that you knew it was lie. You didn't push it anymore.

It was the day before your movie night with Isaac. Isaac of course was excited, he told you that he didn't mind and that he was sorry for putting you in a position like that.

Walking to school with Brett, both of you made sure to go earlier so Brett wouldn't be late. 

"Let's go on a date tomorrow. I mean we won't have classes tomorrow since it's a holiday.(I'm not sure if it's like that for other schools in other countries, but it's like that here in my country but only sometimes, if it's really important.)"

"Actually, I can't."

"What? Why not?"

"It's movie night tomorrow. You know that."

"Then we go in the morning."

"But when we go on dates in the morning, you keep me til' seven. And tell me to stay over instead."

"So you'd rather go to this 'movie night', rather than spending time with me?"

"But it's movie night. It's the only day Isaac and I can spend time with each other without supernatural sh*t trying to kill us."

"You always see each other at school. Isn't school enough time without supernatural sh*t trying to kill you? And I'm from a different school, have practice, I'm lucky enough if coach doesn't show up so I could at least spend time with you. "

"I know, Brett. But tomorrow is movie night, I always tell you when movie night is gonna happen. And I told you to tell me if you're gonna make plans, so I could schedule when the movie night is, but you suddenly make plans right now. So I can't go on a date tomorrow."
