Kaylee's pov

I was so tired from the plane ride it was only a hour and 30 minutes by plane to get from Florida to North Carolina but something about planes just makes me tired. I reluctantly got up from the bed and unzipped one of my suit cases. I had neatly packed all my clothes that needed to be hanged up with the hangers already on them. I pulled all the clothes out and put them on my bed. I turned and opened my closet it was at least 3 times the size as my old one! I hung up all my clothes and threw the first suit case in the closet. After swinging the closet door shut I saw in the corner of my eye a ivory framed mirror. I looked at my reflection my long brown hair, and hazel green eyes I didn't have any make up on so I decided to put on some mascara and lip gloss on for dinner. I pulled out a purple tube of mascara out of my carry on bag and a peach colored lip balm. I stroked the mascara through each lash and then applied a couple swipes of lip gloss. I was in a navy blue tank top and light colored skinny jeans very plain but comfortable. I looked at my clock 5:26 it read I rolled my eyes I wasn't done unpacking. I thought I should probably go down stairs and meet everyone a little more but I didn't want to I just wanted to jump in the bed and sleep until I wake up to my life a year ago. But I knew I had to do this and that it was the best thing for my situation I never really thought about it but I was pretty much a orphan. I didn't have any where to go except foster care but they stepped up and adopted me. A family I didn't even know. I opened my door and walked down the stairs. Upon walking down the stairs I was welcomed by a pleasant smell of parmesan cheese and garlic bread. Hayes and Skylynn were talking and laughing at the table and Mrs.Grier was stirring something in a pot she looked up and smile. Then said "Hi, honey how do you like your room?" "Oh, I love it thanks so much" I muttered shyly. "I'm glad" she exclaimed. "Now sit down" she continued "Chad and Nash will be down soon." I slowed septet into a chair next to Hayes and a across from Skylynn. Just then Nash walked in. He was doing something on his phone then set it down on the table as he sat down. "Hey" he said to me "Hi" I said slipping into my chair more. "Did you finish unpacking?" He questioned "No, not yet"I replied. Then I heard Skylynn squealed "You are very pretty." "Thank you, you are very pretty too." I blushed. "Thanks." She laughed "My brother thinks your pretty too." She held up her hand on the side of her face and pointed to Nash. Nash's face turned bright red "Skylynn!" He snapped. He looked at me I smiled. Then Mr. Grier came down stairs. "Hey everybody!" he pronounced. He jumped into his chair and said "Elizabeth what's for dinner, sweetie?". She looked over at us and said "Spaghetti and garlic knots, Skylynn's favorite." Skylynn's eyes lit up and widen and meet with mine she preached "I made mommy make it so you would have a good first meal with us." I smiled. She was so cute and so sweet. Mrs. Grier as she put sauce on the last plate? "ok it's ready." She brought two plates and handed on to Mr.Grier and me. "Enjoy!" she chanted. I thanked her and she gave everyone else there plates. I twisted the spaghetti and took a bite.I was so savory and perfect. After everyone was done eating Nash said "Does anyone want to watch the woman in black with me." "I'LL WATCH IT, I'LL WATCH IT!" Skylynn yelled and raised her hand. Mrs. Grier countered "Sorry missy that movie is too scary and you have to get ready for bed." "Aww! No fair" Skylynn protested. "I will watch it with you, I love scary movies." I interjected. I lied. I hated scary movies last time I watch one I was with one of my old best friends. We had been eating popcorn and I got so scared from a scene I practically jumped. All of the popcorn spilt in my lap ruining my favorite purple dress from the butter. "You will?" He said raising a eyebrow "Sure it's not to scary?" He questioned. I replied "Yeah, how bad can it be."
