Locklan's POV
I can't believe they talked me into going. I mean, its not like there was anything better to do, and the rest of the weekend would be preparing for my father. I shutter. It doesn't feel right for me to be hanging out with people, I haven't done this since.... never. I've never really been invited or anything. I just recall asking Catherine why she wanted me to come so bad. She replied with a blank expression " I dunno." and then smiled brightly at me. "So you'll come?" I agreed reluctantly and she squealed "The small one is coming Ash!" the small one, that's what she refers to me as, she's so strange. No worse than me in my hyper moods. Those are really bad. "Small one!" I jerk and look at the girl in a baby blue dress. She grabbed my shoulder and I cringed. She took her hand away but guided me into the house. There were a lot of kids there. Not really a lot maybe about twelve in all, including myself. Kids from the table I sit at occasionally, as well as some from my... biology class. I glance around and find Derek. God! I look again and find a familiar messy brown haired, green eyed boy. Everett was here. That boy just comes up everywhere, talking to everyone, and all kinds of things. Why is he so friendly, he's so cocky. Ughh. I ended up sitting on the floor, leaned against the cream colored couch, right where he was sitting. He smirked down at me. "Hey." he said cheekily, starring down at me in an uncomfortable way, or well it made me uncomfortable. I know I blushed profusely he chuckled at me. Again. He really needs to cut that shit out, I'm not being funny, like damn. Everyone ended up doing their own thing. People broke off into groups all talking and laughing. "So I've been told you're called mouse." He says. I cringe at the name. "Don't call me that." I say quietly. Two of the guys he's with, Austin and Aaron, I went to school with when we were young. They turned at the nickname. "Aww little mousey!" Austin called out to me. I cringe again, why can't people take a hint. But hey, at least I'm not being called a faggot, cocksucker, right? "Don't call me that." I said annoyed. "Well tell me your real name and I won't call you that, it doesn't fit you." Everett said. Oh I see. He's damned and determined to get my name. Well he won't get it. "Damn right it doesn't fit me." I say promptly. He chuckled at me, SERIOUSLY STOP! "If you don't tell me your name I'm gonna have to give you a new nickname." he said. Hmm, how bad could that be.... okay, so pretty terrible. But still he won't get my name. "How bad could it be." he smirks at me again. "I don't know." he replies all huskily again making me blush and tingles go across my body. It's really bad just his voice does that. "Guys, help me think of a name for him. Let it be an animal name, we'll keep with that." he call to Austin and Aaron while staring at me. "It need to be something small, but not entirely weak." he says out loud. "Yeah, he's meek but feisty, always has been." Austin laughed. "You're quite a contradiction." he laughed. "Are you mocking me Everett?" I glare at him with my arms crossed. "Hmm, I have to call you something, you can't just be that boy." he says ignoring me. Oh, Hell no. "Did you just ignore me?" I yell to him. He leans towards me and pokes me in the stomach and I jump back making a mewling noise. "Dude, he just sounded exactly like a cat." Austin says laughing. I glare at him. I look back at Everett smirking triumphantly. "What?" I spat out. "I'm gonna call you kitten until you tell me your real name." my expression turned blank, but then I blushed like crazy. Kitten? "Kitten?" I find myself repeating out loud. "Yep. It fits you too." he says laughing. "No it doesn't!" I yell. "I am wayyyy bigger than a kitten! And, and.. That's stupid." I feel my face burning. He smiles and watches me, never moving his eyes away from me yelling about. "And, quit looking at me!" he chuckles again. Fucking weird tall green eyed boy. I sigh exasperatedly. I go to plop down on the floor when he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me next to him saying "Oh no you don't kitten." Turns out some people had left. He scooted over placing me between him and the arm of the couch. I sat blankly for a second, feeling his body right beside mine, but then memories flood into my brain. I don't entirely panic but I try to squirm away. "You're even wriggling like a kitten." he commented with a smile. That stopped me real quick and I just sat there glaring. He scooted over a tad more. Giving us both more room, he had a wide eyed look on his face, it eventually changed to a distant one. The rest of the afternoon I listened to everyone's conversations, hardly ever joining like usual. The only time I jumped in was because of Everett mainly and sometimes Catherine and Ash. It was entertaining and distracted me enough to forget what would be in store for me starting Monday. And every time that crazy weirdo green eyes said kitten I responded and blushed automatically. I'm not like a kitten...
