~Charli's POV~
I totally did not feel like going to work today. I want to stay home wrapped up in my blanket watching Disney movies, but of course, I couldn't do that. I wanted Dadd- Jackson to come over and cuddle with me all day. I got up grumpy, and got ready for work. I didn't feel like possibly running into that bratty kid and his mom, so I drove. When I got to work, Jackson's car was there, and I was confused. Everything inside was running like normal, except everybody seemed a little too happy.
"What the fuck is goin-" I was cut off when Dean pulled me into a corner of the reception area. "Today's an evaluation day, as you can see, Jackson's here, and these don't come very often. The last time there was of these evaluation days, someone left without a job."
"Ok." I shrugged it off and continued to do my job. Maybe an hour into my shift, Jackson came out of Carl's office with a clipboard and a pen. He walked past me, sneaking a glance at my curves, and sat in the secluded table at the back of my section. I ignored his looks and attended to my customers. Meanwhile, he was watching my every move. It looked like he was taking notes on something. I went to the front to give the baristas all the orders I just took. Making light conversation with Dean, I noticed Bianca trying to sneak over to my section. Peeking around the corner, I saw her trying to convince my customers that I ditched them. Stupid bitch didn't even realize that Dad- Jackson was right there in the corner watching her the whole time. When on of my customers left, Bianca looked like she was picking something up.
She's probably trying to show off her nonexistent butt to Jackson.
The customers waved at me as they went out the door. There were so many people coming in after they left, that I was too busy attending to the new ones rather than going over to their old table to clean and check for tips. Bianca then rushed back to her small area. Just my luck, here's the lunch rush. In a matter of minutes, the entire place was filled. There was absolutely no time for slacking off. Not even for Bianca, and she seemed to be in a better mood than normal. The rush carried on, and soon enough, the place was emptied out. I put up the closed sign, and sat at table to count my tips, but something was off. Jackson surprised me when he came from Carl's office.
"Charli, I'm going to need you to stay after work for a few minutes." He went and said the same thing to Dean and Bianca. He leaned on the counter and waited for the other employees to lave. When they did there was an uncomfortable silence. "I didn't know that I had a thief working here. Cause if I did, I never would've hired the person in charge here. Carl, you've got one UNPAID week suspension to improve on the lack of your hiring skills. When you come back, don't you dare step foot in that dam office until I say so. I'll take over there until I think that you've learned enough. Any questions Carl?"
he shook his head no.
"Ok then you're dismissed." He dropped his head and left. The only people left were me, Dean, and Bianca. He leaned back on the counter with his arms crossed across his strong torso, and looked at us, lingering on Bianca's apron pocket. "So Bianca." She looked up at him with what was supposed to be a sexy look on her face I assume. I smiled slightly to contain my laughter.
"Is there something funny Ms. Smith?" he said turning towards me sharply. I was almost scared until I saw a smile on his lips.
“No, sir there isn't."
"Alright then, as I was saying, Bianca, do you want to say what happened, or should I?" She looked puzzled, "What do you mean?"
"The $45 in tips that you stole from Charli." I couldn't believe my ears. All I saw was red as I tackled Bianca to the ground. I had no idea what I was doing until I felt somebody through over their shoulder. I was carried outside, and whoever it was put me down and was back inside before I could see who it was.
In minutes, Bianca was storming out with her hand covering what looked like a bloody and crooked nose. She attempted to glare at me through her black eye, but at least the other eye wasn't so bad. I smiled to myself about my accomplishment. “Charli Diane Smith, front and center.”
I shivered in fear and arousal at the sound of my whole name being called by that voice. With my head low, I opened the door, and was met with a hard chest. "Do you know why I called you back in?" I shook my head. He gently seized my chin, and made me look up at him.“Use your words sweetness.”
“Um...yes.”
“Tell me why.”
“Cause I fought that bitch for stealing my tips.”
I saw a vein near his temple appear when he clenched his jaw.
“Do not let anymore dirty words come out of that pretty little mouth of yours.”
“Yes da-sir.” His eyebrow went up at my slight slipup as he smirked.
“Yes, she stole your tips, but I was going to handle it. Beating her up didn't fix anything did it?” I could feel myself change as his tone of voice changed.
“No daddy.”
“Ok then, you're taking a paid week off because you're still young and need the money. Dean has a week off too.”
“Otay.” I said stretching out the O.
