He walked her home at the end, but the situation was kind of... awkward, until she broke it with a question.

"Then how about Saori? You said you like her, didn't you?"

It didn't surprise him. Heath has already predicted that she would ask him about that thing.

"It's obvious, isn't it? Saori is your best friend. I told you I like her so that I can talk more with you."
"But you're my childhood friend, dummy. You can talk with me whenever you want."
"Yeah, I know. But really, everytime I talked about Saori, your expression changed. Sometime you frowned, some other time you pouted."

Aki cocked an eyebrow, silently asking him what did he mean by that.

"I just can't help it," Heath continued, knowing her silent demand, "You're way too adorable when everytime I asked about her, you're sulking but pretended that you're not."

He cupped her cheeks before pinched both of them, which made Aki slapped his hands.

"It hurts!" She groaned angrily ―or more exactly, it's because she's embarrassed―, "And I didn't sulk!"
"The jealous Aki-chan is the cutest thing on earth," he said while grinning ear-to-ear, clearly teasing her as he called Aki with suffix 'chan'.
"I'm not jealous either!!" She snapped, fuming with anger.
"Just admit it, hm, Aki... chan?"
"You want to feel my kick on your thing again, huh?"

A somewhat dark aura was emitting from Aki. She curled her hands into a fist, nails digging on her palm. Seeing that she's being serious, Heath automatically stepped back, an uneasy smile appeared on his face.

"Aki, if you do that and I become impotent, you'll regret it."
"Who said that I would date you?"

Eh?

"W-wait... what did you say?"
"I haven't said that I would date you."
"Are you serious, Aki?! You accepted my kiss!"
"And why if I did?"
"Don't you have the same feeling as me?!"
"Did I ever say that?"
"Aki don't joke with me!"

By that time, they've already arrived at her house.

"Thank you for walking me back," she said as she waved at him when she pushed her front gate open.
"So you're serious?"

His voice was full of disappointment. Aki was silent, no words came from her mouth.

"Well, I'll--"

Right when he turned on his heels towards the direction of his house, Heath felt something encircled his waist from back.

"You're so easy, Heath," Aki said as she giggled in glee.
"Wha-- what?!"

He turned back at her, his face clearly told her that the brunet was confused.

"You're so cute, I couldn't help to not tease you."
"You're mean!" He protested but Aki stopped it with a quick peck on his cheek, earning a faint blush on her face and his. But, a smile creased her face as she cupped his face with her hands.

"Then, will I still be mean if I say I love you too?"
