Distracted

Devin had allowed her to stay the night in the guest bedroom. She hasn't expected this cottage to be this nice for somewhere so deep into the woods.

She woke up with the sun streaming into the room and onto her face. She let own a yawn and a content smile and fell back against the soft pillows. She might as well enjoy this little slice of heaven a little while longer.

She woke up a few hours later to the sound of a loud bang. Then again. And again!
She felt a surge of panic thinking that the guards had found her once again. She peeped through the curtains to see what the sounds could be. She'd been staying here for more than a week and it was usually very quiet and peaceful.

And then felt her mouth run dry. There it was again. That magnificent sexy body on display . Devon was busy chopping wood to keep the fire running.

She could see the beads of sweat running down his humongous body, glistening in the sun. His arm swung upwards and his biceps flexed revealing how strong he really was. She felt the overwhelming urge to lick those beads of sweat off his body and throw herself into his large arms. Something was awakening deep inside her.

She shook her head vigorously as if trying to shake the dirty thoughts out of her mind. She needed to control herself from the temptation called Devon. She had met many attractive men before but none of them were as large and masculine as him. This needed to stop immediately.

Firstly, he probably thought she was some pervert, the way she eyed his naked body last week. She still felt embarrassed over the whole incident. Secondly, she was to remain a virgin until marriage and if anyone ever found out about these urges she had for this man she barely knew, her father would skin her alive.
And lastly, she didn't know a thing about sex. She wouldn't even know what to do if he stood before her and begged to take her.

She scoffed. If only. She was a hopeless mess of emotions. Some she had never felt before.

She heard the front door bang open and she jumped back under the plush satin covers and pretended to be asleep.

He knocked on her door. Then again.
She couldn't feign sleep any longer so she opened her eyes and yawned exaggeratedly. He was just standing there with a scowl on his face not saying a word. She finally decided to speak but she was interrupted when he said, "Get out"

"Excuse me!", she exclaimed in shock.
" You wanted to stay the night, and you have, so leave. "

"I know that. You don't have to be so damn rude about it", she countered. Sure he was doing her a favour but it was inexcusable to be so arrogant and rude.

"Don't curse at me, you insolent girl" he remarked.

"What type of person goes to someones room and kicks them out straight out of bed. And anyways you said that I could stay if I worked my debt to you sir. You promised. Are you really the type of man whose word means nothing?" She wasn't really sure if he promised or not, but you couldn't blame a girl for trying. She was a bit distracted by the uh...towel incident.
It was the first time she had laid eyes on a penis. A c*ck.

"And I told you that you couldn't perform the task I would require you to do. And don't be mistaken. I am not like the people you are used to. I know how to keep my promises. I don't run away from them.", he said. There was no way he could know what she was thinking about. Was he remembering that sexy moment too?!

"That's because I'm not a prostitute!
You know what, I'm leaving right this second! I've never been more insulted in my life.", she said as her anger consumed her, " and who would want to...want to...do anything sexual with YOU!
Who do you think you are anyway?"

"Are you done?", he stated simply.

She stared at him blankly. She was so consumed in her rage that she hadn't really heard what he had said. She saw his lips moving; those juicy, juicy lips. But what he said was beyond her.

He seemed to sense her confusion and attempted to explain further. " I haven't been to this cottage in a while so maybe I need someone to tidy up a bit and I haven't had a decent meal...well, in quite a long time,so if you can cook, then you can stay. So? What is it? Can you do it?", he finished.

"Okay......wait. I need to think", her voice barely a whisper. She weighed out her options. Her captives were probably long gone now and I doubt they'd come searching all around this town for her. She would have once rejected every part of this town and wouldn't have given it a second look but now this was her saviour. Her safe haven.

Oh how she needed this town to assert her freedom.

And she could do housework. Well, she could learn to do housework. Cooking she knew; she spent many days down in the kitchen with the cooks and the head cook, Beverly, who was more like family, doing her homework and observing her cook while they chatted away. She was like the mother she never had and she had taught her well. She saw no reason to reject his proposal. So she accepted.

And went right on to preparing them a good meal. To her astonishment, the kitchen was reasonably stocked. She hadn't made anything extravagant in a long while but if she wanted to earn her keep she better impress him. He seemed like the type to eat a whole chicken by himself so she got around to making a chicken roast with patatoes, carrots and peas and a nice gravy.

She wasn't sure where Devon had wandered off to but he was nowhere in sight so she let the roast rest in the oven. She didn't really feel like she was presentable so she went to take a shower.

She came out of the shower and got dressed and went to search for Devon.
She found him fast asleep on the couch. She stepped closer to him and stared openly at his features. Just observing the beast in his slumber. He looked so peaceful as he sleeped.
His features relaxed. She looked at his sharp, aristocratic nose and his soft, pillowy lips and sighed softly .

Suddenly his eyes open as of sensing her presence. There was nothing she could do to play off what she was doing because it was blatantly obvious she was studying him in his sleep or maybe she was trying to kill him while he was defenseless. An image of him pinning her to the ground flashed in her mind. She mentally scolded herself and her body for reacting this way. Thankfully, he ignored the awkward situation and proceeded straight to the table to have the lunch that she had prepared.

"So I see the lady isn't entirely useless ",said Devon.
" Sorry, what did you say, I didn't hear anything over the size of your big ego" she said enraged. She had spent quite a long time preparing this meal and here he was insulting here.

They sat in silence. Neither of them knowing what to say.

" You're right, that was uncalled for ", he said finally.

Although that wasn't an apology, that seemed like all she was going to get from him. She smiled shyly at him and to her surprise he smiled back at her. She was caught in his large brown eyes for a second. She shooked her head rapidly as if to remove the thoughts and feelings that were emerging in her body.

Devon chuckled to himself and they resumed eating in silence once again.
