•September, 1997•

I had finally arrived at the hospital after making sure nobody else knew I was here and made my way to the room they directed me to.

"Angelica?"

I was furious, how come nobody had told me my sister was pregnant, and on top of that they hadn't told me she was so far into her pregnancy.

Almost missing Angelica giving birth to our first child was horrible. And now I wasn't there for my baby sister when she needed me.

Janet had always been there for me, so for me to not even be able to hold her hand before she was taken to the delivery room made me feel like a terrible brother.

And I think that's why I was so angry. Because I was hurt.

This opportunity should have not been taken away from me.

Angelica stood up from the couch quickly, with a scared look on her face.

"Why didn't you tell me? Is this what you two were keeping a secret from me? How could you do this to me?"

"Michael, listen I thought she would tell you on her own when she was ready. But she was scared."

"Scared? Of what? That doesn't even make sense."

I couldn't believe they had kept this from me for so long. It actually hurt my feelings to know they lied to me and kept this from me knowing how important this is.

I just couldn't understand why they would do something like this.

"You didn't have the right to keep this from me. Do you know how much this hurts right now?

"Michael I-"

"Janet knows she can tell me anything, and she always has. So what makes this any different? Why couldn't she tell me this?"

"She-"

"I can't believe you two. I've done nothing but help the both of you with anything you've ever needed. I supported the both of you through anything. I've loved, cared and provided for you two to my fullest ability. I've been honest with both of you, I- I've done everything for you and Janet, and you two decide to just keep something so important from me? Why would you two hurt me like this? Did I deserve this?"

"Damn it Michael! If you would just let me talk, I could explain."

I sighed and gestured for her to continue.

"Baby, no. You don't deserve this. Janet and I appreciate everything you've ever done for us. We love you and care for you and we've missed you so so much. Janet was just scared to tell you because she thought you would judge her-"

"Why would I judge my sister?"

"She didn't want you to be disappointed in her, or get upset at her-"

"Yeah? Well now I am upset."

"Michael, shut up. Please let me finish."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Continue."

"Thank you. Janet was scared you would judge her because her and Christopher aren't married. She thought you would be disappointed in her because of that. It would be against he beliefs you both grew up on, she knows how seriously you took that. She thought if she told you, you would get angry and act differently towards her. She was just worried that this would change how you saw her. I assured her it wouldn't because no matter what you were her brother and you were always going to support her..."
