Friday morning. No dreams, no headaches.

Not that I didn't like that I was gaining my memory back, but it really wasn't getting me anywhere. At times I found myself painting when I had time. I enjoyed getting lost in my head and even finished the painting of Ian.

"Good morning. I didn't think you were going to wake up" Jackie said from the kitchen table doing paperwork.

"Didn't get that much sleep last night." I said.

"Aw well it's Friday so you get a pass." She said. "There's pancakes if you want some." She pointed to the stove.

"Thanks. What are you working?"

"Just last minute wedding stuff to see if everything's in order." Then the phone rings, the house phone to be exact. "That's probably for me." She got up and got the phone. "Never mind." She hung up shortly.

"It's funny that we still have it." I said.

"Oh I know but it's handy. Remember how we fought over it trying to call our friends. All because mom and dad didn't want to get us cell phones till we were 16. Literally, so tragic that all my friends had one except me." She sat back down at the table.

"Yeah. I remember. Hey do you remember one my friends named Ian?" I asked fixing my self a plate. "Jackie?"

"Sorry what?"

"Do you remember a friend named Ian?"

"I don't think I do. Plus you had so many friends hard to keep track." She replied. "Tell you what we are going to get the wedding details settled. Why don't you come with me? Beats staying in alone all day."

"Yeah sounds fun."

I couldn't help but think Jackie tagging me along, was a way of distracting me. From what it looked like me and Ian we're extremely close and I didn't have many friends growing up. It wouldn't be something to easily forget.

"I need a break." I said sitting down on a lounge chair at the venue where the wedding was taking place. This was our last stop. The first stop was to see if the cake and pastries were exactly what was ordered. Then to see if finishing touches we're done on the bridesmaid dresses. Lastly, that the hotel venue was going to look spot on as well as the food.

"Almost done." Jackie told me.

I sighed as I stretched my legs onto the arms of the chair. But being the the hotel that it was I got some glances from the staff that didn't seem to like my posture. I rolled my eyes at the concierge as I fixed myself.

"And once the father daughter dance are completed then the dj will take over." The curator said. "Have you brought the music?"

"Yes.Who has the CD? Mom!?" Asked Evelyn the bridezilla. I now know why my sister's been stressed out.

" Everything's in order. And you will have a marvelous wedding." He said.

"It better be but thank you." Said the blushing bride to be.

"Alright now whose hungry?"
Asked Jackie.

I raised my hand.

"Good idea. Let's go down to the Clove." Evelyn said.

The Langely Clove was a country club that most of my parents aquaintances are a part of. Including most of our circle of friends.

"Table for three," said Evelyn.

The hostess looked at me and then looked down to gather the menus. "Right this way." We followed her to a table. And I couldn't help but notice the refined people looking at me. I sat down and slid down my chair looking at the menu I held on top my stomach, I didn't care how proper this place was I didn't like my back full of stares.
