Rondo POV

Being in jail has taught me so much man. I never in a million years thought that's where I woulda spent part of my life. Yea, I mighta did some things before I went to jail, but it wasn't really nothing serious. I'm just glad God gave me a chance to do better.

Today is the last first day of a new week that I have to take these GED classes. I'm so happy about this cause now I can do what I been thinking about doing.

I wanna better myself and stay on the right path so I'm thinking about going to college to get a degree in something that interest me which is law. I've always wanted to be a lawyer and Ima meet my goal one of these days. I can't really do nothing now because I'm on house arrest and probation and it's stopping me from doing a lot. The only thing I can do is go to my classes and work.

I help mama out around the house to keep myself occupied or I go running with Heather and Codak. Sometimes I wish I woulda been thinking back then and knew ole girl was playing me, but it's nothing I can do about it now.

Heather was telling me how she's back in town and she's been trynna apologize to everybody. After all these years, I don't even know what my reaction would be if I was to run into her. I'm not even prepared fah it so no telling what could be said if I'm caught off guard.

My train of thought was lost when I felt my phone vibrating on the table beside me. It was a incoming call from Kevin. I'm not going even lie this niggah be rubbing me the wrong way sometimes cause he act like a lil high school girl who be excited to talk to a boy.

Kevin*was trynna see if you heard from Nell or Heather . I tried calling and nobody answered they phone *

Ronnie*last time I talk to Heather was last night and she was going to the hospital to meet Raynell Something happened with his mama *

Kevin*wait What? Why nobody told me? I'm bouttah head up there and see what's going on. Thank you bruh*

"Hey you ok?" I asked Nell. He hasn't really said much since I got here. All he did was lay his head on my shoulder. It's a whole nother day and the doctors still ain't came out with nothing yet.

"Nah not really, but you keeping me sane right nah so I'm keeping my cool, but I'm not understanding what's taking them so long to come out and say what tf wrong with my tlady bruh. This why I hate hospitals." He said sitting up putting his hands in his head.

"Excuse me ma'am, but can you find out some information about my mama please. She was rushed here last night. Her name is Daloris McNeal. Nobody came out and said nothing yet and I'm getting too worried about it." I said to the nurse who was walking through the doors.

"Yes ma'am I sure can. Sorry about the hold up it usually doesn't take this long, but I'll be back to let you know something." The nurse said while walking towards the back.
