-Present-
School. The place where everyone is constantly watching every move you make. The place most people refer to as 'hell'. Well for me that's what it is.
I stand leaning against the lockers along the walls of the school, watching as all the 'cliques' walk around together. I scoff and roll my eyes as a group of girls who are walking past me who 'try' to stare and look over their shoulders at me. They notice that I've caught them staring, they freeze, looking forward and start walking at a faster pace towards the school restrooms.
I push off of the wall of lockers, deciding to follow the group of girls into the women's restroom. I push open the door not even making eye contact with any of them and walk straight over to the sinks.
I look in the mirror above the sink applying a few coats of mascara onto my eyelashes. I can see from the corner of my eye all the girls staring and whispering about me with looks of disgust on all their faces.
"Can I help you?" I turn to them with a nonchalant look upon my face.
They all stare at me in shock at the fact that I took notice of their whispers and looks that they were directing at me. "Umm- no we were just leaving." the tall blonde says pulling her two friends along with her.
Once they leave the restroom I can't help but let out a little laugh at how they reacted to me. Everyone in this god damn school is afraid of me for some reason. I mean it doesn't really bother me at all, I mean damn I think I actually like that everyone avoids me because that means; I don't have to deal with them.
I stand in the bathroom for a few more moments until I decide to walk out and head to my homeroom class of the day. Fashionably late of course. Whoops?
I open the door and of course, everyone's heads turn towards me because they need a distraction away from Mrs. Freeman's lesson. Because come on, who likes math?
"Ms. Matthews, how am I not surprised to see that you are late once again to my class? Please take a seat." Mrs. Freeman says as more of a demand than a question, causing a few snickers from a few people in the room. While I keep a straight face unamused by her words.
I walk down the rows of students noticing only a few curious stares, but most of the students are looking away to avoid eye contact with me. I take my seat which is in the back of the class directly next to the one and only Tyler Morgan. I notice he is isn't staring at me with curiosity nor avoiding eye contact with me, but is smirking at me. I glare at him which only makes his fucking smirk grow even more than it is. I sit down in my chair letting out a groan of aggravation directing towards him.
Tyler is my brother's best friend, he has always found any way possible to find a way to torment me since we were kids. He is always there to make fun of me for my mistakes and let me tell you it's really annoying. He's the only one that seems to not be so afraid of me. Honestly, I don't like it one bit, and oh god does he know it.
"Late as always I see Cas?" he says with an amused smile.
"Shut up Ty," I say grabbing his pencil off of his desk using it to write down my notes. Yes, I know you're all shocked. I actually pay attention in class and take notes. I mean come on give me a break, I might be late to almost every class but that doesn't mean I don't do my work.
"What the hell Cassie? Give me my pencil back!" he says getting Mrs. Freeman's attention in the process.
"I'm sorry, but am I interrupting your conversation Tyler?" she says raising an eyebrow at him.
"No Ma'am please continue your lesson," Tyler says politely giving her one of his charming smiles. Her face turns a light shade of pink as she nods her head turning back around to face the board to continue her lesson.
I groan at Tyler in disgust. God even the teacher falls for his damn smile. Just like every girl in this school. He is the cliche pretty boy in this school. Just a fucking shining star.
Tyler looks over at me with a smirk noticing the annoyance glowing off of me. He knows how easily he gets away with everything and he knows how it gets under my skin more than anything. He takes this opportunity to lean over to whisper into my ear.
"Looks like I win," he whispers, I look up at him with confusion until I notice what is in his hand. His pencil that I had taken was back in his hand and was twirling between his fingers. A scowl appears onto my face and I turn away from him, facing forward in my chair. God does this boy know how to get under my skin.

When lunch comes around I head to the lunch line to get my food, which surprisingly is really good. Unlike some things in this school. I grab a tray of curly fries and chicken, then head towards the library so I can be alone with some peace and quiet.
I walk into the library and notice a group of what appears to be freshmen sitting at my usual table in the far right corner. The brunette girl from the group stops talking abruptly and notices my presence. Her friends look at her confused then look in the direction she is looking in. When they notice me standing there, they all frantically start packing up their things and walk away. I continue to stand there for a few more seconds eventually just shrugging my shoulders and sit down.
I start to pull my phone out of my bag, scrolling through my twitter feed for anything new. I'm suddenly interrupted from my twitter stalking by someone ripping my phone out of my hand. I look up at the culprit who took my phone, to look straight into dark green eyes. Tyler fucking Morgan.
"Are you serious right now Ty?" I growl at him, throwing him one of my harshest glares.
"What?" he says with almost innocent eyes "is this yours? Oh, I'm sorry I thought it was mine." he holds my phone farther away clearly not going to give it to me anytime soon. I take the time to study his face, noticing that he has a glint of mischief in his shinning dark jade eyes. I trail my eyes away from his beautiful eyes to his sculpted jawline, to his sharp cheekbones to his lips that have a full-blown smirk upon them. I notice a piece of his wavy dirty blonde hair fall into his eyes and it takes everything in me to not reach forward and brush it back... Wait, what in the world am I thinking?!
I blink several times looking away from Tyler, realizing at what I'm doing. I look down at my phone that is now sat on the table in front of him. I quickly try to reach for it but Tyler beats me to it. He quickly takes it off the table and stuffs it into his front pocket.
"Ah-uh, I don't remember saying that you could have that back," he says playfully while walking towards a chair that sat in front of me.
"Well, I don't remember ever giving it to you in the first place. Now give it back now." I demand very harshly with a scowl upon my face.
"Woah there pumpkin, no need to get your panties in a twist," he smirks, most likely thinking of something inappropriate.
"Ugh! Just shut the hell up. You know what fine! Keep my phone for all I care. I'm leaving, goodbye." I start grabbing my things and harshly throwing my untouched food into a trash can.
I walk towards the doors of the Library but a hand grabs my arm to stop me from walking any further. I turn around ready to slap the living daylights out of Tyler, but then suddenly realized it actually wasn't him. It was my ex-best friend, Julia.
