My first immediate response is yanking my arm away from her, turning back around to continue my way out of this school. I need to go smoke. I can't deal with this stress anymore. Why is Tyler tormenting me so much today? He usually hardly ever talks to me. Why take an interest in me now?

"Casie wait! I need to talk to you!" I hear Julia yell from behind me. Trying to catch up with me and keep up with my pace.

"Well does it look like I'm in the mood for talking right now Julia?" I snarl at her, making her tense but then brushing it off. "Just leave me alone please?"

"Cas... Just- Ugh! Look there are so many things I have to tell you. Will you give me at least five minutes to talk?" she looks at me with pleading light brown eyes.

I come to a stop right in front of the doors that exit the school, causing Julia to come to an abrupt stop next to me. I fully turn to look at her and sigh, "Fine but only five minutes."

She looks at me surprised and gives me a half-smile. I blankly just look at her and continue to walk outside. I can hear her quietly sigh behind me before I finally hear her footsteps trail behind me.

The reason why Julia wants to all of a sudden talk to me is a mystery to me. You see the thing is, I have tried my hardest to avoid people I was once friends with two years ago. I haven't looked or talked to Julia since the day my mom died. You see when I lost my mom, I lost everything. I lost the way I use to smile at anything and everything. The way it was so easy to just laugh at a simple joke. Laughing, it seems like such a foreign thing to me now... I basically lost my spirit that day. Like everything that I ever was just vanished into thin air. I promised myself to never be that girl again. To never laugh or smile at anything, because if I did, I know that if I were to become that person again everything good I have would just slip out of my hands again.

When I opened the doors to exit the school I head straight over to a table that sat on the far end of the courtyard. As I walked outside I didn't hold the door open for Julia, which then lead to it kind of just smacking into her, making her grunt in pain.

I just scoffed at her clumsiness, that sure hasn't changed that's for sure. When she finally gets through the doors she looks over at me with an angry look in her eyes, but it soon vanishes when she realizes that it's probably the best not to mess with me.

Julia walks over to the table I'm currently sitting at and takes a seat. At first, she doesn't say anything just looks down at her hands with her eyebrows furred as if she was in deep thought about something.

Alright, I've had enough of this silence, she can either talk or leave. I'm not dealing with this bullshit. Before I get the chance to ask her what the hell she wants she finally says something.

"Listen... I just want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when.." she pauses for a moment as if what she's about to say is not the right words. "Look I know you wanted to be alone and I respected that but Casie you need to move on, I wan-"

I abruptly slam my hands down on the table in front of us cutting her off and automatically getting angry at her. How dare she tell me when I should move on from something? Last time I checked she isn't the boss on how I feel.

"Listen here and listen really well," I spit out at her leaning toward her from across the table.  "I will probably never move on from my mom's death, do you hear me?! She was the one person that ever got me, that understood me the way no one else did. YOU can't tell me how to feel. Now do me a favor, go back to being stuck up my brother's ass, and leave me the fuck alone." I say, slamming the chair that I once sat in backward and stormed off back inside the school.

The final bell rings initiating that this horrible school day has finally come to an end. I stand up from my seat in my Physics class, jamming my spiral notebooks into my bag then grabbing my car keys out of the front pocket of my bag. I start walking out of my class when I see Tyler standing at the end of the hall with my brother and a few of their other friends. That damn bitch still has my phone. Determined with anger I storm over to their group to retrieve what is mine.

"Hey, asshole!" I shout at Tyler, abruptly making him freeze and face who it is that called out to him.

"Oh hey Casie, how was your day? You seem stressed today." a smirk forming onto his face.

Braydon looks at him with confusion, furring his eyebrows together he asks, "Oh God Ty. What did you do to my sister this time?"

"Well, this bitch decided to take my phone because he said he thought it was his." I cross my arms glaring at Tyler, who still has a smirk plastered onto his face.

Braydon looks at Tyler with amused eyes and starts laughing. Tyler raises his eyebrows in surprise that Braydon isn't yelling at him like usual whenever he pulls these types of things on me.

"Man.. you're such an idiot," Braydon says, shaking his head. "Just give her phone back and leave my sister alone," he says with a now serious tone.

Tyler looks toward me and sighs. He reaches into his back pocket and holds out my phone to me.

"Next time you take something of mine," I paused to take a step closer towards him "watch your back Tyler," I say through clenched teeth and quickly snatch my phone out his hand.

When I finally get home after a long and exhausting day I go straight to my bedroom not even saying anything to my father. If he even is one.

Once I get into my room I throw my things onto my desk chair and sling myself into my bed. Finally, peace at last.

Suddenly as I am just falling into a peaceful sleep I am abruptly awoken by my room door being slammed open. I turn over from facing the wall to see who is making all the noise to see Tyler walking over to my bed.

"Hey there pumpkin, how was your beauty nap?" he sweetly asked me, knowing that he woke me up.

"It was about to be amazing until some ass came in and slammed my door open" I glare at him while throwing the warm blanket off of me.

"Hm, I wonder who this 'ass' could be? Do you need me to take care of him for you?" he steps towards me with a look of concern on his face while bringing his hand up to my face to push a hair away from my eyes.

I glare at his ridiculous act and smack his hand away from me, "Don't touch me" I say with a death glare.

"The so-called 'ass' that I'm talking about is you dumbass. Now get out of my room and let me sleep." I say grabbing my blanket and pulling it back over me so I can go back to sleep.

Tyler, being his persistent self, decides the rip the blankets off of me and puts his arms around my waist to pick me up out of the bed.

"No pumpkin you've gotta get ready, we're going out," he says while putting me down in the center of my room.
