•A Day With a Princess•

I tried to get my mind off of Lance by reading books that were in my satchel. I read these books many times before, but I loved the stories and chabeginng so much that I would always start from the beginng when finished. My daily reading went well, except for a sudden thought of Lance sprouted in my mind.

'I love how his hair looks so soft and fluffy, his beautiful eyes shining in light, and his smile is perfect. Everything about him is perfect. I want to be with him for the rest of my life'

I snapped out of my thoughts with a tint of red on my cheeks. I gotta stop thinking about him like this! There is no way I would be able to be with him that way. Besides, I'm just a small, shy girl that can't even speak to people. How would I even tell about my feelings to him when I'm so anxious all the time.

I got up out of bed to go into the kitchen to get something to drink. I hope these guys have tea in this castle, I would love to have one in this situation. As I was walking I bumped into Allura on the way.

"Oh, I'm so s-sorry princess" I felt ashamed since I didn't look where I was going.

"It's okay (Y/N), and just call me Allura. This is the perfect time for you to bump into me anyway. I wanted to ask if we could have a time together today, just the two of us." She asked with a joyful smile.

"But don't you have work to do with the paladins?"

"I told them they could have one day break from their missions, plus I want to have a nice time with you, just us girls. I would have Pidge come along, but she wanted this time being alone with her technology." A day with Allura wouldn't be so bad, so I accepted and she gave me a very tight hug. I can tell this is going to be the start of a good friendship.

Spending time with Allura was the best time I could ever spend with someone. We spent the day doing makeup and styling our hair. And she let me wear some of her clothes that fit me so well. I haven't felt being this cute in a long time. She had the best clothes in the known universe, and her skill with makeup and hair styling was amazing.

After all of that we relaxed on her bed while drinking this very sweet tea and talking about ourselves. I fell in love with it so quickly it tasted so good!

"I had the best time together Allura, I have never had the beat time with a friend ever since I was little."

"Only when you were a child? Didn't you spend time with a best friend or a group of people when you got older?"

"Well it was hard making friends during my time on my plantet since I was too shy to talk to people. I did have one friend at the time-she reminds me of you a bit-and we did do a few things together but not much. I wish I could see her again, but after all that had happened on my planet I dont think I can."

"Sorry for making you bring up all those terrible things, I know how it feels losing people you love by the destruction of your home. But hey, at least you have people now, like me, the paladins, and Coran." She got closer and hugged me. Allura is so sweet, I'm blessed to have someone like her in my life.

"Hey Allura, before this hangout is over I wanted to talk about something since I can trust you."

"Sure (Y/N, go ahead."

"Well, I have been growing these feelings for one of the paladins recently and I can't get them out of my mind. And I don't want to confess my feeling sometime because of rejection and just because of the whole battle with Zarkon."

"It's Lance isn't it?" I looked up at her with a shocked expression.

"H-how did you-"

"He goes on and on about you to me and the rest of the crew when you're not around. And I can tell that you love him when you are around.So I will give you some advice on your situation. Wait for the right time when you're ready, and don't stress over that he'll reject you, that boy is head over heels for you and will accept your confession in a heart beat."

"Thanks Allura, I'll keep those in mind. And I had a great time today, but I am getting tired so i might go now."

"No problem (Y/N), and goodnight."

I replied back and left her room to wash off the makeup and head to bed. While I was walking I had one question on my mind.

'What does he like about me that he would talk to the others about?'
