Applications for attendance at BLACKPINK's debut showcase in Japan are flooding

As girl group BLACKPINK's debut in Japan is approaching, local people's anticipation for and interest in BLACKPINK are rising

As girl group BLACKPINK's debut in Japan is approaching, local people's anticipation for and interest in BLACKPINK are rising.

According to BLACKPINK's label YG Entertainment on July 12 in the morning, BLACKPINK's debut in Japan scheduled for July 20 is drawing keen attention from local people.

BLACKPINK will host their debut showcase at Budokan in Japan. According to YG insiders, local staff of the showcase is excited to see flooding applications for attendance at the showcase in a large number much greater than expected.


In line with such explosive anticipation for and interest in BLACKPINK's first showcase, YG decided to host a pop-up event from July 15 to 17 at hot places in Tokyo including Harajuku, Takeshita Street, and Shibuya

In line with such explosive anticipation for and interest in BLACKPINK's first showcase, YG decided to host a pop-up event from July 15 to 17 at hot places in Tokyo including Harajuku, Takeshita Street, and Shibuya. At each of those places, promotions including visual advertisements and collaboration events with desert and drink brands will be carried out in celebration of BLACKPINK's first visit to Japan.

Notably, BLACKPINK is preparing for a collaboration project with "Harajuku Saint Valentine's Church Wall" that is the most popular photo spot in the city, which is visited by many couples to take photos to be posted on social media. It is expected to draw much attention from local people, as it is the place's first-ever collaboration event with an artist.

After kicking off the project for their debut in Japan in earnest by hosting the debut showcase on July 20 at Budokan in Tokyo, BLACKPINK will release an official debut album in the country on August 9.
