Parts of me

I look at these lines
The curves and twists
Buried deeply within my wrists
You see my flaws and scars
That's all you see in me
What what do I see
What do I see in me
I see a raging war I fought
I see each valuable lesson taught
To you they may be ugly lines
But to me there twisting vines
Sometimes I still miss the kiss of the blade
But I'm getting stronger everyday
And as each line begins to fade
I smile slightly because all you see
All you see is the broken parts of me
I'm so much more than this raging war
I'm so much more than I was before
Maybe I'll win maybe I'll loose this war
But I won't come back like before
I'll come back broken and battered
The pieces of me will surely be scattered
But through all of this damage you will see
The most beautiful and whole parts of me
