Born In The Woods To Be Scared By An Owl

It was now eleven o'clock, from when I left Kyles house. I had called off work, and been staring at the sticky not that was now laying on my coffee table. As I looked at it I tried to think if I knew of anyone who wrote in that style, if I had any enemies, and if I should tell someone about the note or not. I really didn't need this on top of what I had dreamt up about Kyle and I. So I pushed the sticky note aside, and then went into my bedroom. I walked over to where my desk was and my task board was with pictures of my friends, and family tacked up on the board. I just couldn't get the note out of my head so I had an idea. I removed all of the pictures from my board and stuck them in my memory box that I had placed in my closet. Ended up running out to the kitchen, grabbing my laptop, and the note. I placed the laptop on my desk and hooked it to the charger, then pinned the note to my task board straight in the middle. I was going to figure out who, where, and why I got this note! Before I started I needed sleep though.

The next morning after I woke up from passing out in my bed, I decided to go get Kyles paperwork for his country house. I figured I could work on it while I ate breakfast, and waited around till I got a client for work. I walked out to my kitchen, and started to make a PB&J with milk and a bowl of fruit. When I was finished I took everything, and went back to my desk. When I sat down I placed the food in front of me, and the paperwork to the side. I started eating my PB&J while logging onto my laptop. I went online to First Energy to view Kyles electric bill statements. (I only knew his information, and helped him out with his personal life mainly because I volunteered to a year ago when his card was hacked. Since that day when I got everything situated for him he's basically made me his personal secretary. Just one that doesn't get paid ha-ha). After I got logged in I previewed his last two previous statements, and saw that Kyle was actually right. It had showed that the distribution, and supply charge were more than what electric was being used in an empty house. To make sure I went back to the paid statements, they were nothing compared to these two. There was a four hundred dollar difference between the paid bills, and the current unpaid bills. There was no possible way this was accurate. The groundskeeper couldn't of used this much from checking on the house either. So I called First Energy to tell them that there has to be an error on there end. So I picked up my phone and dialed the number and waited. Ring Ring Ring....

"Hello this is Rebecca at First Energy! How can I help you?" she said.

"Hi, this is Diamond from the Stone residence. I'm calling on behalf of the house located on 189 Fern Dr. Bloomery, WV. I received a final notice. I haven't paid the bill because there has to be an error on the companies end. I haven't been up there for a year and it is saying that I have used more power than should have been. Can you fix this for me, or please look into it immediately?" I asked.

"Yeah I can look into it, give me one second." she said. While I was on hold the company played the sort of music you'd hear in an elevator. It was peaceful, but yet irritating to hear so early in the morning.  As I waited ten minutes passed so I decided to open up Skype and see if anyone was active. No one was, but I remembered that I still needed to message Justin back. So I sent a message. "Hey I'm sorry I've been in and out of always being online and off, but I've been extremely busy. Called off work and etc., but if you had time around noon id love to talk still. Only if you still were interested?" I asked.  I then went back into First Energy's tab on my desktop, and waited for Rebecca to get back with me.

"Hello Diamond this is Rebecca, are you still there?" she asked.

"Yes I am here" I responded.

"Hi, so thank you for being patient , but I got with my supervisor, and we pulled the electric usage history from what our meter man has pulled and it seems as though there were no issues on our end. Someone gas been using power. Are you sure no one is staying there? I would advise you to check in or call the law in the region to a make a visit." she exclaimed.

"No there should not be anyone at the house, but I will have to check on this. Thank you for checking. Is it okay if I can call you all back around 3pm to pay off the bill?" I  asked.

"Yes that is perfectly fine. We don't close till 5pm, and you still have four more days until everything is cut off for the bill being late." she said.

"Ok, perfect. Thank you again Rebecca." I said.

I then got on my cell and called Kyle to let him know what I had figured out. He did not answer his cell so I had to leave him a voicemail on everything. Hopefully this knuckle head will listen to it, and take care of the issue asap. I mean it just gives me the heebie-jeebies thinking that there could possibly be a stranger camping out in my country house. (If I could afford one lol)  While tidying some stuff up around the house I kept lurking here and there around my laptop hoping id get a response out of this Justin guy...but so far no luck. Maybe its a sign to just stop hovering, and to go out and nose a little at this new neighbor. I mean he cant possibly stay in that house 24/7. Everyone has to come out sooner or later. Right?

So I closed my laptops screen and took it upon myself to take Pixie out to stretch her legs while I relaxed on my porch, and spied on the neighbors.
