This, this is a world that doesn’t have a future… it lost its rightful course long ago. The sirens ring loudly in my ear as I dash to the train station, this place has no hope either. The city is ablaze… what is left of the buildings fly through the air and crash to the earth; many people have died in the race to safety.
Ever sense man has evolved to it highest point the world has crumbled; now “IT” takes hold slowly as it makes its way to every country. So many people will keep running, soon there will be no place left to run. What is there left? Humans may be at there highest point but now that the nature of the world has turned on us, like it has been rewritten.
I wonder why I keep running, and then I heard a crash. I turned my head as I kept running. At first I couldn’t see my long black hair was blinding me but then I saw it. A building has fallen; its graceful stance has been broken. Then the aftershock hit; a gust of wind hit me like a wall, throwing me to the ground.
Looking around I see many people fall, they drag themselves in hope to survive. I see the train; it is like a glance of light in the dark. Soon it will leave to a city untouched. I paused to think why should I go? There is no hope left, why prolong it now?
All a sudden I was lifted from the ground I was moving forward but did not understand. My feet never touched the ground, am I was being forced into the air from another cry of a fallen building.
In my confusion I looked up to see a man, he said to me “Don’t worry I will not leave you” I didn’t believe him. I tried to break free but his grip was strong “stop or you will fall” he said half winded. Another crash, “IT” was getting closer. I could hear its footsteps like a crack of thunder.
I struggled again and broke free, with this motion I caused both the man and myself to fall to the ground. “What’s wrong with you?!” he said in anger. “Why did you push me away?” I stay silenced for a moment, I did not know how to tell him but then words began to poor out of my mouth like water. “There’s no point! No mater what “IT” will follows even if we try…?” I never fished that sentence, he was head strong from what it seemed and would take no for an answer.
“I don’t care if you are giving up!” I was shocked, and confused at his statement. “I don’t think it is fair just to leave someone knowing I could have helped them when I had the chance!” tears formed in his eyes, I could comprehend why he cry jus to save me we didn’t even know each other. “Stop being selfish and let me help you”
“I…I do not know what to say...” sadness fell upon my shoulders I felt a weight bounding me. “Just let me help you please” he kneeled down to my side. “Ok” I whispered back. As I tried to left myself I felt a sharp pain in my leg. “Be careful” he said. Then I notice what was caused of my pain. Within the crash of the building one piece of debris must have hit my leg. The blood soaked my pant leg, dying it a crimson red.
I looked up at him with half of a smile; he knew what I thought but did not say a word. He lifted me up as the last warning whistle for train went off. He quickly ran, but when we arrived there was a huge group of people blocking the path. Screams of anger filled the air “let us on” said an older man. “I am sorry but there is no room we cannot let any one else on no please back away before you are hurt.” The conductors word echoed through there minds but no one would believe his awful lie. No one would want to agree with his words.
“We will die even if you hit us” said a crying woman. “I thought for a moment, this man went through all this trouble to help me… “It’s my turn to help you!” he looked at me like I had a third heads “and how do you supposed to get us on that train?” I looked around in a panic, I was not sure how I would do this... then it hit me. “Go around to the other side of the train” without hesitation he ran as fast as his legs could go. I could here more cries of the people who begged the conductor to let them bored. My heart sank at the thought of some many left behind. So I said a prayer and thanked the people who distracted the conductor.
