Breakfast took longer than usual today. It wasn't because we couldn't order all together but it was because we all were too busy goofing off. JJ and KJ would be prank calling Michael from the bathroom as we all were dying from the laughter the more Micheal got aggravated. Ruby would try ordering boneless food. Shelby and Bianca were getting annoyed while playing clue as Beth and I would make "respecting women" and "cracking a cold one with the boys" jokes.
When I say none of us are normal I mean none of us are normal.
If waiting for the food wasn't enough to tickle our funnybones, when the food got here we almost started a full on food fight amongst ourselves. We had to stop once Beth it took it a step too far and "whiped" with a half empty glads of water spilling it all on the table.
We all sounded like wheezing hyenas just laughing till our lungs felt like they were about to explode. We knew it was terrible of us if we left the table as it was so we cleaned up a bit before I got up to pay by the register.
"I'll be back, please don't cause trouble. We don't need another Nebraska incident" I said looking at all of them.
Michael looked at me and said "pfft, just go pay, we got this b"
The diner was a nifty local hotspot for hipsters as it seemed just by looking at all of the teenagers drinking coffee. A group of teenage boys came into the diner with a few girls. I paid them no attention until one of the boys started taking pictures of me while the girls giggled as I paid the lady behind the register. I was getting very uncomfortable. I checked my clothes to see if maybe I was reveling something, nothing was wrong. So automatically, I got self-consious.
Holding tight onto my wallet and bookbag, I put on the pair of sunglasses I picked up after the tour bus speed away, to try to at least conceal my glances torwards them.
As one of them tried to talk to me, I grabbed my receipt, thanked the lady, and jogged back to my table.
"Guys let's go" I said gripping onto Biancas hand and making my way to the nearest exit.
I could tell they were all just as confused as me but I don't even think I could explain it to them myself. I did not feel right.
"What happened?" Most of them asked.
"I uh, was being watched. I know it sounds weird and dumb but they started taking pictures of me. Like I was someone they knew. It was a bad vibe man I'm sorry I just needed to get out" I hesitated to say.
It wasn't like me to freak out like this, maybe I shouldn't have reacted the way I did but it was all too much to bear in the moment. I was so happy when Bianca hugged me joined in by everyone else. It meant so much to me to have understanding friends.
We spoke little about what happened in the diner, they were however intrigued by my encounter at the gas station.
"So did you ask what they did for a living?" Ruby asked confused.
I knew I should have asked.
I sighed and responded "No, I was too caught up in the thought of having to be almost caught stealing earbuds. Like what the hell was wrong with me? I could have costed us this whole expirence"
"You better be glad you didn't" Ruby said throwing me a water bottle before sitting up from our laying positions to move past everyone and take the passenger seat while Betha
I rolled my eyes and dozed off into a nap.

When I woke up, we arrived at the back entrance of the Canyons. I was surprised at the low security there was for such a geographically important place. Yet again it was America, we'd rather protect our beer castles of a home than such a beautiful location.
"Alright, we're here" Beth said as we all said looking at Michael directly.
Seeing his dim reaction, I reassured him, "Whenever you're ready, we'll all have to do this"
"Can you put on the disc I gave you?" Michael says sighing and digging out the letter of his mother.
Bethany did just what Michael asked for. We all got out of the van and watched Michael walk to the ledge. As Green Day blared from the van, we gave Michael his space and pulled out chairs and the cases of liquor along with the jars of pot. Michael sat at the ledge with his legs dangling into the Canyons.
He stared at the letter in his hands. He didn't seem to be sad but looked as if he was recollecting thoughts within his head. Then with a smile, he ripped the whole letter into small pieces. He stood up and tossed the papers into the Canyon. He watched the peices float down before crossing his arms and walking backwards from the edge.
He turned to face us and laughed as he started running to climb the hood of the van. He sat on the hood and took out a ciggerate and a lighter. Out of all of us, Michael and JJ were the only two that smoked them regularly. The rest of us only smoked weed. Except for Beth of course, she didn't even drink. We all kind of respected that though, we made sure never to make her feel like she wasn't a part of us just because she didn't need substances to have a good time.
Remembering it now, Beth always had good roasts to us because of our use of substances.
After a few drinks, hits, and a couple of conversations, I couldn't help but to vibe to the Orgy track playing from Michaels CD called "Blue Monday." I have always loved singing this song. The band was even just as good live.
Geez I miss live shows.
Then it hit me, we all should go to a live show. The only thing I can say that I miss about the connection to social media was hearing new music, and discovering new bands. Plus now that we were halfway done our expedition, we had extra time.
Standing up I said "guys, we should go to Warped tomorrow or the day after. We have enough time."
They all looked me startled since they were just chilling. Looking to each other then back to me, Bianca stood up and hugged me.
"Yes please, I need to see my father's" she said smiling.
The others laughed and agreed, all except for KJ.
"I thought you said this morning we were running low on money" he said taking another big chug of beer.
"I didn't say we were low, I said we were at a deficit, there's a difference." I said hating how he got when he got drunk way to early. He never could hold down his liquor.
No one really focused on him as we all just started getting excited of being among a large crowd of people again. I couldn't wait to see all the old bands and new ones.
Packing the chairs back up at around three o'clock, we all started planning how we would spend the day at warped. It's always important to remember that days liked warped went by too quick. I remember when me and Bianca first went when we were sixteen, we went in without an idea what to expect and ended up only seeing half of the band's we went to see.
This was going to be great. Now that we have the whole gang here, I just knew it was going to be amazing. It was rare of us to take these kinds of detours.
It's these moments that make the journey all the more better.

I hope you all like the addition of some memes! I want to make this book relatable, I thought the memes would be a positive relation to y'alls lives.
The drug use might become a regular thing with the group so proceed with caution in this book.
The whole "going to a place and having one of the characters have a personal moment with an object of memorabilia" thing is going to be known as a funeral for the group of characters. No the characters aren't really dying, take the part of the book as a "spiritual rebith" sort of thing. This will be something explained sometime by a character in an upcoming chapter.
