SALT's POV
"Let's break up" she said while averting her eyes to the roses.
"What? Missy I —"
"Thank you because you don't want to hurt me, but that's not going make me happy either Salty" I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out, I'm speechless.
"I already betrayed and hurt Allison before. I want her to be happy, I want you to be happy, and I know that breaking up with you is the best way" she explained while trying her best to still smile.
"Missy" was all I said.
"Don't worry about me. I'll move on for sure, I'm still young"
"But Missy it's too late for that, can't we just forget everything that happened in the past and just move on?" I said sadly. She may be smiling but I know that she's hurting while saying those things.
"We can't just forget all the things that happened in the past that easy, I'm being mature here Salty, I'm regretting the things that I've done before and I want to fix it" she explained patiently.
"But—"
"No more buts please, you love Allison right?" She insisted.
"That's not the point here Missy, it doesn't matter—"
"That is the point here Salt, and it does matter. It does matter because it's about the three of us" I'm about to argue but she spoke again.
"I know that you love Allison more than anyone else. I know that you love me too, but not as much as you love my sister and I'm contented with that. That's how I love you Salt, I'm willing to let you go this time" she said while cupping my face. I didn't expect her to be this matured when it comes to handling a relationship.
"I'm scared" I said with a broken voice.
"Scared of what?" She asked frowning.
"If you let go of me I don't have anyone left, Allison will marry Henry and I don't want to take the risk of losing you too" I said as my tears fall. You know that feeling when you're losing all the people that's important to you.
"You're not going to lose me, I'm still here for you. What I want you to do is pursue my sister, I know that she loves you too" she tries to explain.
"But it's too late now, she already gave up on me" I said while sobbing. It's funny because I'm acting like the younger one right now.
"That's not true. I'm sure she's still hoping that you will come after her" she said before pinching my nose.
"I'm nothing compared to Henry. He's rich, handsome and most of all, a man" I said sighing.
"Ouch!" I exclaimed in hurt when she suddenly slapped my forehead.
"You're such a coward. You're Cassy's twin right? Then you're a Montreal"
"Yeah so?" I asked confused while massaging my forehead.
"That means you're rich! Bernardo Montreal is one of the major stockholders of this school, his share is almost fifty percent" she explained ecstatically.
"Huh? How come?" I blurted in disbelief.
"Cassy was the one behind it, she told your grandpops to invest in this school" she explained smirking, her arms crossed.
"Why?"
"You ask too many questions Salty" she said after rolling her eyes.
"Because Cassy was smitten by Allison" she explained after.
