Natalya laid in her bed, her body aching just as her heart did. She regretted it. She wished her and Corey had never kissed. As much as she wished to saviour the moment; she also wanted to forget it.

''Dinner!'' Mrs Jones shouted up the stairs. Natalya grunted, not wanting to move from her bed after today's events.

''Why do you look like you've been hit round the face with a bag of rocks and shit?'' Aidan chuckled, quickly earning a slap from his mother for the foul language around the dinner table.

''I fell.'' Natalya bluntly replied. Her brother was close to the top of the list of people she really didn't want to converse with, right after Corey.

''Did you and Corey compete today, Aidan?'' Mr Jones asked. ''Corey didn't, he was meant too. He got into an argument with his chick so Jonah filled in.'' Natalya's eyes widened as Aidan spoke, why did Corey have an argument with Lala? Was it over her?

Natalya shook her head at her thoughts. She thought she was just getting ahead of herself by thinking that.

''It's his girlfriend. Not a chick.'' Mrs Jones interrupted. ''Speaking of girlfriends, how's Brooke?''

''She's okay, mom.'' Whenever Brooke had been mentioned recently, Aidan would become extremely quiet. Something was definitely up.

''I'm done. Thanks mom, it was good.'' Natalya quickly left the dinner table; her eyes filling up with water by the second.

In one moment, all of her emotions erupted from her like an exploding volcano. There was no controlling them, she need to release the tears that had been held in for too long.

Natalya laid down, tears drowning her pillow and her grip tight on the blankets above her.

Corey sat at the table, eating a meal he didn't want. Listening to his mother, Judy talking about things he had no interest in.

''Honey, what's wrong?'' Judy knew her son. She could always tell when something was wrong and when he need something. They were close, Corey has always loved his mom dearly.

''Nothing, ma.'' He faked a smile to try and hide the many emotions he was feeling right now.

''I know you better than anybody, Cor. Now tell me what's wrong.'' The look of sincerity in Judy's eyes made Corey know there was no hiding how he felt in front of the woman he admired.

''Lala and I broke up today.'' He blurted out. ''Oh sweetheart. Are you okay?'' Judy got up from her seat, wrapping an arm around her son.

''Yeah, I'm not the upset about that.'' Corey brushed it off like it was meaningless, confusing his mother. Until she realised who it could be about.

''I'm guessing there's another girl on your mind?'' Judy raised an eyebrow. ''What? No. Well, okay maybe. I feel guilty, Ma.'' Corey always opened up to his mom, but he never thought he'd be admitting his feelings this quickly.

''You have to do what your heart wants. Your brain might be telling you different but in the end, the heart always rules and gets its way. Do I happen to know this young lady?'' A small smile lingered upon Corey's lips as he thought of Natalya.

''You already know who it is don't you? How do you do it Ma?'' Corey chuckled, knowing already that his mom was reading him like a book.

''I know you well. Have you told Natalya yet, did anything happen?'' The excitement in Judy's voice was evident. She'd always been fond of Natalya and could see that her son was in love with the girl. She noticed it before he did.

''I kissed her. But, I haven't spoke to her since. I fucked it up, Ma.''

''Corey... you need to speak to her. Especially now you've ended your relationship with Lala. Tell her how you feel before it's too late.'' She rubbed his back, a slap on the head following that.

''Ow!'' Corey jolted. ''What was that for?''

''Don't drop the F bomb in my house!'' Judy chuckled.

Finally, the tears had dried from Natalya's sore eyes. She sat in her bed, covered in blankets and chocolate wrappers.

The song her and Corey had a dance routine too came on the radio in her room. Instead of tearing up, she actually began to smile. She started to crave a drink so she went down to the kitchen; turning on the radio to full blast due to nobody being home.

Natalya smiled to herself and swayed her hips to the music, memories of her and Corey flowing through her mind like a waterfall of happiness and adoration.

As much as it pained her to picture him with Lala, she knew nothing would change it. She loved Corey and cared for him, his happiness was something that mattered to her. If that meant Corey and Natalya weren't going to be together, then she had to deal with it.

A knock at the door disrupted Natalya, grunting with annoyance as she approached the door.

Natalya opened the door, her heart beating as fast as ever, body shaking from nerves. ''C-Corey?''

''The second half of the dance act has arrived.'' He chuckled, grasping her hands gently in his.

''And now, I'm here to stay.''
