When I got home, I received a phone call from my dad.

"Hey princess, where are you??" He said in a excited tone.

"I just got home from the hospital. Why? Where are you?" I said questioning.

"I'm at the spicy lobster by the pier at the beach, with my new buddy from work. You should come down." He said.

"Sure I'll be right down, just going to get changed, then I'll be right down."

Once, I was done changing in my  skinny black ripped blue jeans and white t-shirt. I headed out to go meet my dad. When I parked outside of spicy lobster..it looked like a version of red lobster.
It wasn't that hard to find the restaurant by the pier. We only lived like 5 minutes away. Wishing I had just walked here. As soon as I got into the restaurant I found my dad sitting at a 4 seat table on the back deck, with 2 other people.

"Adriana!" My dad said standing up once he saw me.

"Hi dad" I said hugging him before sitting down next to him.

"Honey, this is my buddy from work James and his son Jake. " my dad smiling. "Boys, this is my daughter Adriana."

"Hey Adriana, its a pleasure to meet you. Your dad has told me a lot about you!" James said smiling at me. He looked about the same age as my dad, and his son looked about my age. He definitely was very friendly.

"Hello, it pleasure meeting you too! I hope it was all good stuff." I said laughing.

"Oh, of course. He is very proud of you. Congrats on volunteering at the hospital btw." He said with a warm smile.

"Thank you, thank you! " I said smiling down at my lap. I always got embarrassed, having all eyes on me.

I looked up to see his son looking right at me.
"Ohhh, Adriana this is my son Jake...he's the same age as you. He goes to Fairview high school, I'm guessing you'll be going. Since it's the only high school here. If you need any help finding your way around the school. I'm sure he wouldn't mind helping you."

"Yeah not at all." Jake said shooting a smile my way.

"Thank you. That would be a lot of help." I said pleased. I kind of felt a little bit better about going to school now.
