For Him

CHAPTER 4

I woke up early that morning to get ready for the day a head. I jumped in the shower, enjoying the warm water pour down my body. It felt so nice. I used my favourite raspberry shampoo that smell like heaven. I got out of the shower. I looked at my self in the mirror of the bathroom at myself. My face was heart-shape with soft brown eyes, my body was curvy and I wasn't tall. My brown hair was getting long, it went to my mid back. Growing up it was hard for me to feel good about myself. I wasn't a model. But today, I actually felt confident which made me feel happy. I got dressed in a black skirt, with a white long sleeve shirt and blazer. I did my hair adding a bit of curls with my curling iron. Also, putting a little bit of make up. I didn't like wearing a lot of make up...just a little to make me not look so dead. I give my hair a quick spray of hairspray and walked downstairs to have breakfast. Grace wasn't here today, since she was visiting family. So, I had to fend for myself which I didn't mind doing.  I grab a bowl and poured my favourite cereal in. I decided I'd have my breakfast on the deck and enjoy the sun.

After I breakfast I phoned my friend.

"Hey girl, how the new house and town?" my friend Victoria said on the other end of the phone.

"Hey Vic! The house is gorgeous, it's by the beach! You'll have to come down soon! I haven't adventure the town yet. It looks nice tho!" I said excited to talk to her again.

"The beach ?! Lucky bitch" she said laughing.

"How's everything there?" I said.

"Same old, same old. But I have a date with Chad Tonight!" She said screaming in the phone. I didn't really know Chad personally but I know of him and he seemed nice. I was happy for her.

" My poor ears " I said laughing. " but that's awesome! Have fun!"

" Oh sorry girl, I'm just so excited !" She said quieter
"Just remember to use protection." I said laughing harder now. I had too.

" ADRIANA! " she screamed in the phone once again.
" You have fun girl! I'll talk to you later and you can tell me all the juicy details okay?" I said smiling even though she couldn't see me.

"Okay girl! Bye!" She said laughing.

"Bye girl" then I ended the call.

I then went up starts to unpack all my boxes in my room but my the time I was done that it was time for me to go to the hospital. When I got to the hospital in my car, I felt excited to start.

The minute I got into the build I went to the front desk to see Tracy sitting writing something on a notepad.

"Hey Tracy" I said in a calm tone, hoping I wouldn't scary her.

" Hey Adriana! I'm glad to see you again. I told you, you'd get it!" She said with a giant smile.

" You did! I worried for nothing." I said running my hands through my hair.

" I'll get Jennifer, just one moment!" She said making her way to Jennifer's office.

A few minutes later Jennifer came out with a few papers in her hand. " hey there Adriana, nice to see you again!" She said as she's came around the front of the desk and stood in front of me.
"Hey it's nice to see you too!" I said.

" You ready to get started?" She said with a big smile.

"Yes" I nodded with a smile.

"Awesome, you can come meet the patient you'll be spending time with." She waving as we walk down one of the hallways in the hospital. " For the first patient, we set you up with is a boy that is the same age as you. Hopefully that will be good for your first patient. His room is on the 3rd floor and room number 223." She said as we got in to an elevator.

"Does he know I'm coming?" I asked. Kind of hoping he does.

"Yes, he does..he knows you'll be spending time with him too. I got to say to, he's going through a lot. Sometimes he can come off as rude." She said leaving it at that. Great, I feel like he is going to be hard to spend time with. When we got outside of his room, Jennifer turned to me and said "I can't personally tell you what happened to him because of patients privacy reasons. But he will tell you if he want you to know." She said placing her hand on my shoulder. " and of course I have to go over this with everyone but bullying or bad language is never allowed. I know I won't have to worry with you. You seem like a nice girl. Anyways, let go meet him shall we?" She said opening up the door of his room.
