Chapter 16:Paradise Pool

SPLASH!

Today is their last day on this beautiful getaway and they might as well enjoy it. There were many, different scores of swimming pools, ranging from shallow two-feet kiddy pools to those that plunged down to fifteen feet. There were wide pools, and narrow pools, small pools and large pools. There were some with slides, dive boards, splash pads, fountains, waves, whirlpools.

"Pool!! Here I come!" Kath shouted as she stepped out of the dressing room as. She's wearing a bright yellow bikini with tiny polkadots which she brought during her birthday last year.

"This is so EEEEXXXCITING!" Kath squealed, as Dj and she walked to the diving boards. He's wearing a navy blue trunks that UHMMMM... Ok... Moving along, Kath don't wanna admit that DJ's too damn..sexy on his attire.

"Well, I'm not " Daniel said dryly, pointing to Kath's chest. "Don't wear that bikini. You look ugly in it" He added.

"I HATE YOU, DJ! PERVERT PERVERT PERVERT!" Kath screamed as she pushed him into the pool.

"You can't drown me!! I can swim! Hey---- Where are ya going??"Daniel surfaced quickly, gasping for air.

"Away from you, pervert monster!" She sticked out my tongue and walked away.

"Lover's Q? " Enrique said, swimming to Daniel .

"I told her she looks ugly in her bikini" Daniel replied bitterly.

"What the hell! Dude! Tell her you think she's pretty!!" Enrique hit him on the back of his head.

"Cause she is" DJ smirked.

"Exactly!"

"That's the problem" DJ said before he swam off.

"I hate him, I hate him, I swear! Argh! I don't look ugly in this bikini! !" Kath muttered as she approached the diving boards.

"Yellow Polka-dotted Girl." Daniel called her from behind.

"I don't want to talk to you!" She said, clasping her fingers on the ladder of the diving board and she began to climb.

"Tch. Do you seriously think you can reach the top?"

"........................." She's too angry to reply.

"Even if you do, you won't be able to jump!" He teased her more.

"Arrogant! So he thinks I'm a coward too, huh? Whatever! I'm not afraid of heights! He's underestimating me!" Kath said to herself

She reached the top in no time.

"HA! I got up!" she shouted proudly. She took a look at the water.

God.

All of a sudden, she felt weak and wobbly in her knees. The swimming pool looked incredibly, extremely, unbelievably and dreadfully, dreadfully DEEP! But you know what was scarier than the land? The fall. No explanation needed. She couldn't feel her legs, and her heart was ready to rupture and explode. She turned around the go back down but - no, the cold, narrow ladder looked even more dangerous!

"DJ! What the heck are you doing here?" She's really suprised to see Daniel's head pop out from the back of the diving board.

"You've been there long enough already.. The security guys were laughing at you but I hit their heads already" He replied.

"WHAT? Why did you do that?"

"Nobody's allowed to laugh at you except me" He shrugged and sat across her.

"Oh please!" Kath sighed.

"Why don't you just go down the ladder? "

"The ladder is scary too!" Kath sniffed.

"Jeez, such a baby" he yawned and scratched his head.

Kath stared at him. Did he really think she was ugly in that bikini? Hmph. He was just like Dad! Besides,He didn't look so hot either! Just cause he has abs, doesn't mean he looks good! And his hair looks so weird when its wet!! And his eyes are...redder! Tch...it must be chlorine!

"What?" DJ said, raising his eyebrows.

"Do I really look bad in this bikini?" She blushed.

"You're still pissed about that?"

"Well...YEAH. I mean, I really thought this was a nice bikini! And I thought I looked cute and -

"You do" DJ cut her off.

"I...do?" Kath's eyes widened.

Dj stood up, stretched and looked at his watch. He didn't say anything.

"T-then, Why did you say I was ugly?" She said, standing up as well .

"For the same reason why your father most probably hates that bikini too"

"What?"

"Does your Dad hate that bikini?"

"Yeah..."

"Why?"

"Cause he said I might attract too much attention...then too much boys...of the wrong kind would look at me...and stuff and -

"Exactly" Daniel said.

"But why would you be so uptight about other boys looking at me?"

DJ looked over her shoulder, and realized that they had walked to the edge of the diving board.

"Because Kath....." He smirked, "You're mine"

And with that, he pushed Kath into the water.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH DANIEL PERKINS !!! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!"

DJ didn't say anything, but he as well, made a jump for it.

"Get a hold of yourself, idiot! It's not that bad!" he called to her.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

SPLASH!

"GASP!!!!!!!!!! Where's DJ ?!" Kath thought angrily, as she looked around. I'm gonna chop him into bits!!! But HE was nowhere to be found!

"Oh my gosh!" She said, growing anxious. "What if he drowned? What if he hit his head on the board...or on the pool floor?! AAAH! I better go down to check!"

After she caught her breath, she looked for him again. As expected, he was not to be found. She grew insanely worried, thinking of strange and wild possibilities of what could have happened to him.

But thankfully for Kath , a black head of hair surfaced behind her.

"DDDJJJ!! I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU!" Kath squealed, immediately forgetting that she was mad at him for pushing her. "I THOUGHT YOU DROWNED OR SOMETHING!! THANK GOD YOU'RE ALIVE!!!"

"Yeah. Uh, I found something when I landed" DJ said awkwardly.

"What?"

DJ handed her something.

Her bikini top..... :)))
