El's POV:

I love you. The 3 words every girl wants to hear in their life time.

But when jack said it. I guess I wasn't ready. I never expected my child hood best friend would love me.

I mean we've kissed before, but promised to never speak of it again.

I made myself think I leaned in. But was it really jack all along?

*flash back freshman year*

"Jack we have to get going finals are next week!" I said laughing.

"Hold on I'll be in there in a minute!" Jack. Yelled from the kitchen. He came into the living room where we were studying with food on his forehead.

I started to laugh when he sat down next to me clueless.

"How did you get it up there?" I asked in between laughs.

"What?! Where!"

I used my shirt sleeve to wipe it off is fore head.

"There." Our faces were already close until he leaned in and kissed me.

*end of flash back*

"El. El? You there?" Madi said waking me up from my trans.

"I- I love you to jacky" I said softly still staring blankly at a wall.

"But I just need time." I grabbed my beach bag and bolted.

I ran to the car and drove to the beach. I found a place to change and I put on my white strapless bikini and a neon orange tshirt for a cover up. I slipped on some flipflops put my hair in a messy bun got my sunglasses on and went out to the beach.

I lied towel down in the warm sand and took off my tshirt. I lied down on the towel and thought and almost fell asleep when a foot ball hit me in the face.

"Ow." I groaned sitting up. I slid my sunglasses to the top of my head. A boy; Shawn came running towards me.

"Oh hey El!" He said picking up the foot ball

"Hey Canada, you do realize you hit my with your football or whatever right?"

"Oh ya sorry that was Nash." He laughed.

"Whatever."

"What are you doing here? Why arnt you with madi and that guy?" He asked

"Long story." I said looking down at the sand.

"Wanna go swimming?" I asked him trying to change the subject.

"Sure!" He said and picked me up. God damn me for being to small.

"Put me down!" I kicked.

"Okay if you say so." He said and through me into a wave.

"SHAWN MENDES I SWEAR ILL KILL YOU." I yelled swimming into waves. His jaw dropped.

"What." I said.

"You used my real name." He said sounding astonished.

"What ever Canada." I giggled.

I spent the rest of the day with Shawn we ate relaxed and played together.

"Bye Canada!" I waved getting back into my car. Now I had to face real problems.

But one good thing came out of today.

I were to choose between 2 now. Not 3 because Shawn, he's not the one for me.
