When Daryl tried to help Carol to stand up from the sand and dust, Carol pushed him away from herself and ran away. We looked after her, without no voice. The entire group was just trying to understand the happenings. Maggie was comforting her father, Hershel, who was kneeling on the ground and looked at the dead bodies. This was too much for the Greene family, because they thought these were sick people.
Lori and Rick took away Carl, Shane walked away with Andrea, and the Greene family closed their house's door with a key behind themselves and pulled the blinds. Slowly I stood up, and walked to the little, dead girl. I touched her hand, but didn't expect her to do the same. As I saw her discoloured skin, the blood and bite on her neck, a teardrop fell down on my face again, but I didn't start to cry. I was just sorry what happened to her. There were lots of things what I planned to tell her when I would saw her. That she was a real survivor, because she survived in the wild for weeks, that she would had to tell me how did she do it, that how much we missed her, and so on.
I was so lazy that I didn't noticed that from behind, soneone was pulling me up with big, warm hands on my arms. When I was totally standing, I turned around, and saw Daryl for a moment, but I had no strenght to speak with him, and I begged that he thought the same, so I just walked to the big tree, where there was our camp, and climbed up as high as it was possible. I knew that then the others would not need me to take the dead bodies or to bury the family members, but I needed some time to think about this whole situation, what could happen next, what was the prize of this slaughter? We already knew that we had to go away, after what we have done here, it was quite obvious. But Lori was still pregnant, and if we would departed then, maybe we wouldn't find a place where she could give birth to the baby.
After some time, I heard T-Dog's voice from under me.
- Can you help us?
- If it's necessary.
- It is.
- Just a second.
When we walked back to the barn again to take away the dead bodies and bury some of them, that disgusting smell of the rotten people caused nausea, while packing them on the plato. I have met with walkers before, but I didn't concentrate to their smell, that's why that was the first time, when the odor stuck in my nose and lungs.
When we finished, Shane and T-Dog got in the car, Andrea and I sat on the platform. After driving a few metres, we noticed that a half arm fell on the ground, so we shouted the men to stop the car. Andrea ran back to pick it up and it was a bit funny how she ran with the bloody arm. We were in the forest for at least three hours to dig a giant hole and throw the bodies in it and dig it in. We didn't talk while we were together. We didn't want to. We had nothing to talk about, opposite to Rick, who still had the task, which is about to convince Hershel that what we did was the best for all of us. From now on, the only thing we could do is to pray for our staying here.
Untill finishing lunch, we didn't talk to each other. Lori and Andrea comforted Carl, T-Dog and Dale were guarding by changing each other. I was just sitting around the fire, when all the others were somewhere else, and when I looked up, my eyes stuck on Daryk who was sitting in front of me, on the opposite side of the fire. He was just looking at his arrow in his hand, and reamined quiet. I took a deep breath, and although I had so much things to talk about with him, I've probably made one of my most difficult decisions.
Walked away. Until he jumped up, and grabbed my right arm with his dirty and strong hand and fingers softly but confidently. First I looked down to our hands, then up into his eyes. He was doing the same, and I felt that my heart started to pound faster and heavier, my right hand was shaking, and my face became red as an apple. His "cold and full of anger" eyes were slowly filled with emotions. I couldn't speak, although I didn't want to anymore.
