8. An Opportunity To Be 'Stupid'

Paige's Pov

09:26 AM Friday, Last night was crazy, but I can only think back to the moment I had his soft lips on mine and the tight grip of his hands on my waist. He was driving me crazy. I remember when we were going back in from the locker room I was so nervous someone would suspect something of me and Ivan, but we went undetected. A lot of last night has become a blur to me but I do remember how flirty Chance and Tessa were being with each other. Although I'd be happy for them if they got together, I wouldn't be happy that Chance thinks he can simply be with Tessa but somehow I'm not allowed to be with Ivan!? I also remember how some fan offered Anthony $100 to make out with them and how Emilio was desperately trying to get with a girl but just didn't have any game what so ever last night, and I definitely remember how I got somewhat drunk for the first time in my life along with Ivan and Emilio, ...yeah last night was crazy.

I stretch my arm across my bed sheets to reach my phone. I check my notifications, looking through them I see loads of fans shipping me and Ivan, I love it when they do that! I'm excited to upload my vlog from Jake's 21st, the fans are going to love seeing all the crazy shit that happened.

09:51 AM, sitting on a stool, eating yogurt while the rest of the team makes their way down for breakfast. Emilio and Anthony were having a heated discussion; debating on who gets more girls. My attention shifts from them to Ivan when I see him walking down the stairs, one energetic step at a time. He was wearing his navy nike sweater and as soon as he noticed me staring at him a large goofy smile spread across his face. He cheerfully walked up and took the seat beside me while preserving his contagiously happy smile. Anthony spoke up "why so happy, Martinez?" Ivan glances over to me with a smirk and responds "no reason, just in a good mood". "Alright Martinez" Anthony says not quite satisfied with Ivan's answer. 

"Hey guys" Chance says as he walks into the kitchen. Anthony looks over to Jake and asks "should we tell 'em", "yeah let's do it" Jake says getting excited. Jake, Chance and Anthony proceed to tell us that they are going back to Ohio for the weekend to see the Cavaliers game against the Warriors and that anyone else who wanted to come should. Instantly everyone was getting excited and saying that they were going to go, except for Ivan and Emilio.

"Paige, are you going to come" Jake inquired, "uhh.. ye-" I was about to say yes but then I felt Ivan's hand on my thigh slightly squeezing, hidden by the kitchen table. I look to him, discretely shaking his head; indicating he wanted me to say no. "Uhh.. uhh no.. I think ill just stay here" I replied my voice somewhat shaky, "Paige you love coming to basketball games with us, what are talking about?" Chance joined in. "I just uhh..uhh" Ivan tightens his grip on my thigh making me jumpy "I.. I have a lot of editing to do... um for my vlogs.. and I um have to upload Sunday..so yeah.. I can't go" I say quickly; trying to piece my words together. I feel Ivan chuckling beside me, chuckling at me, for how I reacted to his touch.. and to how I simply did as he told me to. "yeah..okay" chance says as he looks to me weirdly.

"so when are we leaving" Tessa speaks up, "I'd say we'll leave for the airport at like 7 tonight" Anthony responds, "and when are we coming back" Erika asks as she takes a bite out of her apple, "Sunday". I could feel the smirk growing across Ivan's face right now.

11:14 AM, Everyone had left the kitchen excluding me and Chance. "Hey Paige?", "yeah" I respond unsure what to expect from Chance. "Thanks for..uh.. thanks for co-operating with me or whatever", "what do you mean 'co-operating with you'" I laugh. "like not doing anything stupid or not dating anyone in Team 10 or whatever" he says sounding awkward, "yeah well umm.. your welcome I guess" I say while I start to walk out of the room "and Paige?", "yeah, what is it?" I reply. "please don't do anything stupid while I'm away this weekend" "of course" I say as I exit the room.

I lied. If by 'stupid' he means 'being with Ivan', then I plan on being the stupidest person on earth this weekend.
