Chapter 7

I woke up the next morning realizing what I had done. What was I thinking? Carlee has only been dead for one day. I was way out of line. I should have never let him kiss me. How was I going to explain to Kyle that last night was a mistake?

"Ok Kali, stop thinking and start texting."

Kyle, I've been thinking about last night. We were both upset and I think we both took advantage of the situation. Carlee has only been dead for a week. I think it would be better if we both forgot about last night and just be friends.

"I typed send. I should have read it before I sent it, shoot! What will happen if he takes it a different way than I did? I don't want to lose him too.

" Ugh I had better get ready for school or I'm going to be late."

"Buzz!" My phone vibrated, and it's from Kyle.

Hey, I'm sorry I kissed you last night. However, it felt right. Do we have to forget about this? I know Carlee has only been dead for a week, but please reconsider that this was not a mistake.

I didn't know what to say to this. I was already upset that I kissed my best friends old boyfriend. Kyle will never understand how painful this is.

Kali text me back. I know your upset, but don't be mad at me. Please text me or call me when you get this.

Why is he making this so hard? I get it we kissed and he has attachment issues but I don't like him like that. I was gullible and upset. Kali your so naïve.

"Ugh why do boys have to be so complicated?"

"Kali, you're going to be late for school! It 7:45!"

"I'm Coming! Great just great, I'm going to be late for school, and on top of everything else people are going to be staring and saying "I'm so sorry about Carlee. You know what I don't care what they have to say their all liars and they know it to."
