Why don't we, never thought this would happen

Part 8; maybe we could...

I began to worry, did jack not want to talk to me anymore because I was 15, and he was 18. I would understand why, I mean that is 3 years. But maybe he was just busy? I debated on texting him again  asking if everything was okay. But I figured I'd give him some space. It was getting late, and I tried to fight falling asleep in hope that jack would text me back. But I ended up dozing off with my phone still in my hand.
I work up to the loud sound of thunder, storms always got so bad in Iowa. The power goes out so often and we always have tornado watches. But nothing ever really happens. I checked my phone,, and still no reply. At this point I was worried. I still didn't want to double text him so I just laid my phone down by my side and fell back asleep to the sound of rain drops against my window.
