Part 5; destiny

I just sat and waited, I couldn't take my eyes off my phone. What was 5 minutes really felt like an hour. At this point I finally just gave up and put my phone down on the arm of the couch. I then started flipping through tv channels, nothing was on besides game shows and the news. The last thing I remember was hearing the weather before falling asleep. I usually never fall asleep on the couch but for some reason I did. I was awoken by my mom in the morning because she couldn't find her car keys. I tried my best to ignore her and fall back asleep, but that failed. I figured I might as well get up, I went to the bathroom and then went searching through the coverts to find something for breakfast. I gave up and went back to the couch, I sat down and grabbed my phone. I fell asleep so early last night that I had quite a bit of notifications.

My heart dropped, I couldn't even finish reading the rest of the notifications. I had completely forgot that I even texted jack. HE ACTUALLY REPLIED I kept saying to myself. I didn't know what to say back, I can't just ignore him. I sat there for a good 15 min thinking about what to say back to him. Then I just began to text him back, still not knowing what to say.
Kait to unknown; it's alright, don't worry about it. So what are you and the boys doing today?

I stared at the message before sending it, but I finally talked myself into hitting the send button. I guess I better change his contact name now.
