Chapter 16
As Meto's mother mentioned, we went ahead, and picked out some Halloween costumes. Tsuzuku wanted to be a biker, so he really didn't need to buy anything, since he has clothes at home. I decided to be his biker girlfriend, since it seemed like a good idea. I already had some stuff at home, so I just needed to buy a few more items to go along with it. Which didn't take us as long.
Meto's mom picked out her costume as well. She wanted to be a sexy poison ivy, which I was digging for her. I feel like she's fit the role perfectly.
Meto's mom is the coolest person in the world. She cracked jokes in the Halloween store, making me and Tsuzuku laugh loudly. She would tell us stories about Meto when he was a baby. How much of a handful he was. He was quite the talkative one, she told me. But in middle school, he suddenly changed. He didn't talk to anyone, and trapped himself in his room. She was surprised that Meto even had the guts to talk to me.
I tried not to think about the bad things that could've happened to him. But, it still lingered in the back of my mind as the day went on.
We were currently walking down the street to the piercing shop. There were many people walking down the street, shopping bags filled their hands. Happy couples holding hands, and smiling. People heading off to work, some leaving from work. The streets were filled with many people from different backgrounds. It was amazing to see.
The sun had hidden in the clouds, meaning not much heat would hit the streets. Therefore, it was colder then it was earlier. I was practically freezing in my small, black jacket. But I tried not to show it. I was enjoying myself today. A little cold weather can't ruin my day today. At least I hope it won't.
We walked for another 5 minutes, before we stopped in front of a small building. The building was small, and covered with tattoo works. There was a flashing open sign on the door. Meto's mom turned around to look at me before smiling. "Are you ready?" I nodded my head, and she swung open the door. Me, and Tsuzuku hurried in behind her, closing the door.
The heat hit my cold body, causing a chill to go down my spine at the sudden change of temperature. Meto's mom walked ahead of us. The tattoo artist was sitting in her office, drawing up some tattoo designs I'm guessing. She noticed us walk in, and jumped up out of her seat suddenly. I got a closer look at the artists, and she was covered in tattoos.
She had tattoos up her arms, small ones on her face, and one on her neck. She had green and pink hair, and eye makeup that just popped out. "It's been a while Mizuki." The tattoo artist said, walking towards Meto's mom. So, her name was Mizuki. "I know Uri, It's been so long. How's things going?" Meto's mom asked.
"Ah, it's going fine. And who are these two you got with you."
"This is my adopted daughter, and her boyfriend." Meto's mom pointed as us, as she spoke. Uri walked over towards us, and stuck her hand out for me to shake. "Hello, I'm Uri. The artist and owner of this place." I shook her hand. "My name is Akane. And this my boyfriend Tsuzuku." She unlatched her hand from mine and shook Tsuzuku's hand.
"Well," Meto's mom spoke. "I'm here to get my daughter her 2 piercings. Got any recommendations Uri." Uri stopped to think for a minute before she sat me down in her chair. "How about we do a simple labret piercing. Those are always cute. But Akane is giving me edgy vibes, so maybe a bridge piercing." Meto's mom looked at me for conformation.
"I would like both of those. What do you think Tsuzuku?" My boyfriend smiled at me. "It's your choice." I smiled at his answer, and looked over at Uri. "Okay, then I would want those two."
"Great, let me get my tools."
Uri went in the back to get the stuff needed for the piercings. Meto's mom was so excited, I can see the excitement on her face. Tsuzuku was just smiling, watching my legs swing back in forth in the chair. I was a little nervous, but I wasn't too nervous. Meto informed me that it should only feel like a pinch once the needle goes through the skin.
Uri came back, and set all her tools down. She put on some black gloves, and grabbed a purple marker. She got closer to me, and made a mark below my bottom lip on the center. Then she made to marks on the top of nose bridge. She informed me that we would be doing the nose bridge first.
She grabbed a sterile needle, and laid me down. I closed my eyes, so I won't have to see a needle get that close to my skin. I felt her pinch the little bit of skin on my nose bridge. Next thing I know, the needle went through. It didn't hurt. Just felt like a pinch. She put in the piercing, and helped me sit up.
"Alright, next one." She grabbed a new needle, and pulled on my bottom lip I inhaled, and as I exhaled the needle went through my lip. Again, no pain. She put in the piercing, and it was all over with. I stood up, and looked in the mirror. My piercings looked so good on me. I thanked Uri a thousand time, making her laugh. Meto's mom paid for both piercings once it was all over.

We ended up going back to my house. Meto was home, and he had brought a new friend over. Me, and Tsuzuku went upstairs to the third floor of the house. I opened up the room door to Meto's room, and there he was with his friend. He had pink hair, and the same lip piercing as me.
Meto stood up, and brought me in for a big hug. "You're finally home. I missed you. And you got new piercings, do you like them?" Meto asked me. "Of course I do." I smiled at him. He grabbed my wrist, and led me over to were his friend was. "Akane, I want you to meet Koichi. We met at my drum rehearsal. He is a bass player.
Koichi smiled, and waved at me. I waved back at him. I introduced myself, and Tsuzuku to him as well. He seemed like a nice kid. "So, is he staying the night?" I had asked Meto. He nodded his head a 'yes'
"Well, I should get going. It's getting late." Tsuzuku began to speak. Meto poked out his bottom lip. "No, we can have a sleep over!" Meto jumped up and down like a little kid in a candy store. Me, and Tsuzuku exchanged looks at each other. "Umm. . . But Koichi might feel uncomfortable."
"No, I think it's a great Idea." Koichi had said, making Meto even more excited. "Yay, Tsuzuku, I'll drive you to your house so you can get your clothes. C'mon everyone to my car." Meto said excitedly. Of course we all followed in suit.
Once outside, we all got in Meto's car. I sat in the front next to Meto. Tsuzuku, and Koichi sat in the back. Meot pulled out of his drive way, and began driving to Tsuzuku's place.
Today was a good day. I got my piercings done, I got to know more about Meto's mom, Tsuzuku bonded with me, I made a new friend. Things seemed to be going well. Let's just hope things can stay that way, at least until Monday morning.
