Athena (On Hold) (under construction)

Hello California 1.5

The inside of the house was very cosy and beautiful, the kitchen was connected to the living room by a small hallway, everything seemed organized, my aunt was one of those cleaning freaks (not that I have problem with it) everything was always in order. It was a two story house which considering the amount of money my aunt makes on a daily basis she could've bought a mansion if she wanted to, that's what I like about my aunt she was never one to brag about her wealth to other people she preferred to stay on the down low.
"We should put your stuff in your room upstairs." said my aunt while grabbing my stuff and bringing upstairs. She had tons of pictures hanging on the wall but there was one picture that took my attention, it was a picture of me and my parents on my first dance competition, I was six year old.

Flashback
"Scarlett, honey it's time to go or your going to be late for dance recital" my mom yelled from the living room.
"I'm coming mama I'm just putting on my ballet shoes" I said hurrying down the stairs
"You look beautiful my little pumpkin" said my dad
"Thank you daddy" I said.
"We should go..." my mom said as she walked into the room with a camera " after I take a picture of my beautiful little flower" I was a flower In my dance recital, I know it wasn't much of role but I loved it, I loved being on stage and dancing that's why I continued. when we arrived at my school I waved to my parents while they went to find their seats and I joined the other kids. It was time for us to go on stage and when it was my turn I did a turn and took my position, I look at my parents and they clapping for me. At the end of the recital my parents came to hug me and gave me flowers
"You were fantastic, honey" said my mom while she kissed my head
"Yeah I totally agree" said my dad "In fact I think you were the best damn dancer in the whole show, couldn't take my eyes of you"
"David, what did I tell you about swearing in front of our baby girl" my mom said and gave my dad a fake slap in the head
"I'm sorry honey" my dad said and pulled my mum's hand towards him and kissed her her on the lips
"Eww daddy and mummy, that's gross" I said and made a disgusted face.
"Sorry angel, how about I treat you to ice cream"
"Cookies 'n cream" I said, my dad laughed and nodded yes.

End of flashback

This was one of my favorite memories of my parents and I " are you okay?" my aunt asked " you're crying" I didn't even know I was crying " I just really miss them you know" I said and wiped my tears away.
" I know honey I miss my sister and your father too, and I'm sure if they were here they would be proud of the beautiful young women you are today and I have a surprise for you in your room" she said and I smiled "Thank you auntie" I said "No worries, that's why I'm here for" my aunt said and my smiled back at me.
When I opened my bedroom door I was surprised there I was looking at my dream bedroom, the walls were purple and white with purple light on the ceiling, there was a walk-In closet that was seperated from the bed by a small wall where pictures were hung, there was a small table with a Mac computer, there was also a flat screen on the wall, the best part was that I had my own bathroom, I've always hated not having my own bathroom and now I don't have to worry about someone catching me half naked. (I will upload a picture of the room soon!) "how did you know?" I asked my aunt " your parents were planning on surprising you actually but with the turn of events they never got to and I knew that you always wanted to have your dream bedroom and decided to make it for you" she said with a glint of sadness at the mention of my parents, I went to her and hugged her "Thank you so much" I whispered.
"You are very welcome sweetie, now go fix your stuff I'll call you down when the food is ready, okay"
"Okay" I said and my aunt left my room.
Sometimes later I finished fixing all my stuff and put them in their right place and went down to eat dinner.
"You'll be starting school in two weeks, so I suggest we go shopping sometimes this week and get you some new clothes and shoes" my aunt said and I totally agreed with her, I wanted my life here to as normal as can be after the events that happened. After dinner I said goodnight to my aunt and went into my room and took a shower, after my shower I changed into an oversized shirt and boy shorts that are barely visible under the shirt. I laid on my bed and hoped that my new life here will be carefree, little did I know how wrong I was for thinking that.
