Ocean Blue

Chapter 1- Mermaids

It is a bright summer day and the blue water is reflecting the shimmering sun on the top of the water. The ocean is slightly warm and the fishes swim frantically through the water. I love swimming through the water, being in the water is amazing and it always soothed my mind.

Since it's a beautiful day I decide to meet up with Soo Min and Woo Ji; they are my best friends ever since we were young.

My name is Lee Soo Young, I'm twenty-one years old and I have ocean blue eyes and long brown, slightly curly hair. Personally I would say I'm outgoing, funny and kind-hearted.

But that's just me.

I have a wonderful family who I cherish dearly; I have a mum called Lee Ha Young, she is forty-seven years old, she has the same colour eyes as me and short brown hair that goes down to her neck.

My dad's name is Lee Woo Jun, he is fourty-nine years old with the same colour eyes as my older brother. His hair is short and a dark brown. I also have a older brother, his name is Lee Min Ho. He is twenty-five years old and has grey eyes.

My best friend Soo Min has grass green eyes and short black hair, she is funny, smart and very sassy. Soo Min is also twenty-two years old, however I'm a month older then her. Although on the other hand Woo Ji has short blond hair and hazel brown eyes. He is bouncy, strong-willed and also very funny. Woo Ji is twenty-four years old so he's older then us even though he acts younger.

So far I guess you could saw that my life you know so far is pretty simply however there is one thing I didn't mention.

We are mermaids. Mermaid with each special powers, I can control water. Woo Ji can freeze thing, Soo Min can heat things. Only we have abilities that we know of, our parents past it down as their powers begin to weaken.

We live deep in the ocean called 'Sea Of Japan', deep within the ocean is our home many thought we became extinct but we had to hide from sailors and fishermen who tried to capture us. One hundred years we have been around  many of us have unfortunately died due to being captured by the humans. My mum and dad is really strict when it comes to going to the surface. I personally think it's stupid but then again that's my opinion.

I love being a mermaid, my tail is black with a hint of dark blue and white gems. Our tails match our personality and our favourite colour. Soo Min's favourite colour is white and pink with purple gems. However Woo Jin's favourite colour is green with a hint of blue and fire red gems.

All the mermaid live in the ocean however we have houses under the water, Woo Ji and Soo Min are my next door neighbours their parents are best friends with mine. Our house is pretty massive I have my own room and so does my brother, mum and dad share a room however we also have three bathrooms(we each have our own) a big kitchen, a normal size living room and a good size dinning room with a grand chandelier looking over the dinning table.

I go and knock on Woo Ji's door first and he answers the door.

"Hello oppa." I say as he opens the door, however he has a tried look on his face.

"Soo Young do you know how early it is." Yawns Woo Ji as he rubs his eyes and stretches his arms.

"Oppa it's only 11:00 o'clock." I shout as he is taken back with my voice.

"Yeah okay, I can hear you well and clear no need to shout." He replies as he  opens the door wider to swim out.

"Mum I'm going out for a bit, I'll be back later." Woo Ji shouts before closing the door and giving my a high five.
