"No p-please don't" I cry.
The figures all begin to step toward me slowly. I frantically crawl close up against the dirt hedge behind me. But I know it will do nothing for me.
I close my eyes for a second and realize this could be the end.
I have no way out.
Beside me a rock lays on the ground. My hands tremble as I grab it. Preparing to throw it at one of them as they come closer.
Something in the bushes above me moves and the figures stop.
My breath hitches in my throat. They all stare at the bush silently.Only a bird flies out. Their attention moves back to me.
They continue coming closer until they are about two feet away.
I grip the rock in my hand and prepare to throw it when all of the sudden something lands onto the ground in front of me from above. I falter and drop the rock.
It's another black figure. However its taller and more muscular then the others who are all short and slender. The other figures pounce on it aggressively. Clawing and fisting.
However, It manages to shove them all off.
Turning its attention to one, it dodges its kick by rolling beneath it and then knocking it out from the other side. Then as another figure hurls itself on it from behind, it ducks at the last second, sending the small figure onto the floor. Before the figure gets back up again it grabs another one coming its way and throws it at it. It fights off the rest until they all lay on the ground unconscious. It turns, facing me. I breathe heavily trying to process all thats just happened.
The figure reaches its arms out to me and I crawl out of its way frantically.
"I d-dont know what you are, just l-leave me alone." I breathe heavily as hot tears roll down my cheeks.
It stands there just blatantly staring at me for a moment. It turns around. I think it's going to leave. But then it turns back in my direction and scoops me up quickly before I can mutter another word.
I kick and pound my fists on the thing as it starts to run. Not accomplishing much since my muscles are like jelly.
It just holds on to me as it takes us through the forest.
"S-stop p-put me down!" I scream. My voice echoing through the trees.
We come to a halt and it pins me up against a tree. Our faces are a few inches apart. I watch as its hand raises to its neck and pulls its black mask off slowly.
My pulse quickens. I wanna close my eyes so I don't see what monstrous creature hides beneath the black cover up. But my eyes refuse to look away. I have to see what it is.
I gasp when I see that it has skin exactly like a humans. As the mask comes off more I can see it has hair. Its chocolate brown and short. It's human hair.
It then reveals a pair of lips, a nose, ears. They are all human. Every single part.
Except as when he finally uncovers his eyes. I am caught off guard. My breath hitches in my throat. They are a radiant green like the forest itself. The outside ring a dark green that fades into a small tint of yellowish into white around the pupil. They stare into my eyes intensily.
I look into them and I can't describe the feeling I get. I cannot tell whether it's a good feeling or a bad one. I am afraid yet something tells me I shouldn't be. My heart is beating so fast I expect myself to die of a heart attack on the spot. But its silent for what seems like an eternity. I think to myself, you need to look away..
