Hello everyone! This is my first real novel that I've been working on for quite some time now. So I thank you for any of your support! When reading just let your imagination go free and enjoy! :)

I run through the thick grass as fast as possible. My blood pumping faster then ever before. Without looking anywhere but forwards, I run. The moist grass and moss stick to my feet with each step.

Without a thought, I come to a quick halt, almost losing balance.

There stood a cliff right in front of me. I peer over cautiously, looking down at the steep rocks that travel far down before disapearing through thick clouds of fog.

I take a few slow steps backwards and turn around, now facing a large dark forest. The long leafless branches stick out like they are bony arms reaching for me.

For some reason I decide to run straight through the woods, despite the creepy feeling its giving me.

Every tree passes by me like race cars as I sprint down the uneven mossy paths of the forest grounds.
I keep running despite the branches and twigs that are hitting my face and arms leaving scratch marks all over.

I want to stop and rest but I can't as if my body is on autopilot.

I try to stop myself but I can't. And with that I watch myself trip over a tree stump and plunge into a large puddle of water.

The cold clear substance blurrs my vision as I sink deeper and deeper into the water. I thought this was a puddle, why am I sinking? I look above me to the surface where the sky is now dark. I see a flicker of light.

I swim up to the surface, inhaling a large breath of air as I climb out of the puddle.

My eyes run over my surroundings. I am now in a meadow. A peaceful meadow. The puddle that I had just climbed out of disappeared, and the sky is light blue again.

I could feel the sun baking my damp body. The light winds make the green grass wave as if it is an ocean. And the sky looks as blue as a sky could ever get.

Just above me the clouds appear like giant cotton balls that are hovering in the blue skies.

I feel relaxed and I lay down on the ground. Looking to the sky. I grow a small grin as I close my eyes and enjoy the breezes.

Then all of the sudden I hear something wisp past my right ear. My eyes open.

As I sit up, I turn my head to an arrow planted deeply into the soil beside me. I hear the wisp sound again. Finding another planted in the ground on my other side. Startled, I stand up.

Another arrow is coming down now. Although this time, not to the ground. It is coming towards me.

I shuffle backwards but the arrow follows me. I stumble to my left, but the arrow does the same once again. It now aims down full speed.

I cover my eyes, preparing for it to plunge into my flesh. But I open them again to the morning sunlight streaming through my bedroom window.

I jump, startled as my moms face comes into full view. "Hey, come on hun. You gotta wake up"

I groan with my eyes still shut.

"Everyn! wake up. I want you to get out of the house today " Mom said motioning at my window.

I groan at her again, pulling my pillow over my head.

She sighs, "I don't want you sleeping all day, get up. There's a whole town waiting for you"
