Aiden

I woke up with a headache. I knew I had to have slept earlier, but I lost track of time on the gym.
Doing exercise and not giving my muscles a rest helped me think. After years of getting used to the tiredness of this, I started to like it.

Even as I was walking on campus with my arms hurting, it felt good, and I also think it looked good too.

My legs were starting to hurt less from all the walking I had to do from Computer Science to A. Mathematics and now to Anatomy. I was walking slowly so I could enjoy the view around me. Even if I just choose this university to get away from my parents, I think I chose right. It was full of trees and had a lot of paths surrounded by grass. I liked being around to nature. I know... probably the gayest thing i have ever said, but it wasn't as gay as Jeff's career choice.

Aa I was getting close to my class, I noticed the girl with brown eyes enter the building. I had to admit that she wasn't bad to the eye. but she really annoyed me. I guess.

i started walking faster to get on time. as i entered the classroom i looked around for the girl. she was just getting a seat. i hurried over and sat beside her. she was looking at me from the corner of her eye as i positioned myself. it was weird. normally girls would look at me in the eye with passion or bewarness.

i started getting my laptop from my backpack when i remembered the meeting i was going to have tonight. i didnt know how long this work would last. how many people i would have to kill. without noticing i felt my leg moving to match my anxiety.

Ms. Frances entered the classroom and inmediately got to start up her class. Her exam was in a couple of days but she was already getting on with the semester.
I was drifting off but I still heard her talking about a protect or something like that. I could sense Clare (or whatever) playing with her hair on the sit beside me.
Before I could notice I was talking to her

"The teacher made us partners on the project she's talking about. We're you paying attention? 'Cause I wasn't hearing." She said in a whisper while looking at me directly in the eye.

I wish I could remember her name because I'm sure is not Clare.
I stuttered words because my brain wasn't connected to my mouth.

"Uhhhhh... Okay...?" I said not really thinking my words.

"You weren't paying attention too, right?" She said looking at me with humor on her eyes. "So what are we going to do then?"

I seriously wasn't paying attention, I was to captured about the meeting I had tonight. I believe this job left me some serious trauma. I was always confident about everything I had to do. except this.

"No, I drifted off." I said looking around and seeing that everyone else had been partnered up too. I looked at her and saw that she was looking at me expectantly. I still couldn't remember her name. "Ummmm... so what do we do?"

"I suppose we could ask." she said looking around. I was faster and found a girl writing behind my place. I touched her desk to get her attention

"I'm sorry, what are we supposed to do?" I asked her. she blinked twice and I could feel her tense up and play with her pen.

"We have to do this protect of a "Tesla coil". but we have to do it in a commercial matter so that it could be used in the campus." She told me stuttering a bit and looking at me with obvious attention.

I thanked her with a bit of flirting to try to get myself back from everything that was bothering me and to not appear rude.

When I turned back, the girl was already writing on her notebook. She had hair on her face and she was furrowing her brows.

"So, Claire... what are we gonna do with this?" I asked her coming a little closer to catch her attention.

"My name's Blair. So, I was thinking that I could mostly do the maths of the project and you can mostly do the mechanics. But we have to meet up. You agree, Gayden?" She said looking at me in the eye without a glint of loveliness or anything that could be associated with flirting.

I wanted to come up to with a comeback, but I knew I deserved it. However, Gayden was the best insult I had ever received. I looked at her in the eye and I could see a bit of mischief. She was fierce.

"Well then, I guess we can meet up." I said while I was checking my phone again to see if perhaps they had cancelled the meeting. I guess I wasn't the slightest surprised to see that they hadn't changed it.

Blair exasperated. She started gathering up her things. I hadn't realized that I had drifted off. I was acting like a complete asshole, but I was an asshole with a purpose and a job.

I guess I could have treated Blair a little more gentlemanly or flirty, but my head was completely off, so I was left with my body.

"So, I'll call you." I said when I finished gathering up my things.

"Whatever." She said while she was leaving.

I started running after I gathered the things from my apartment. I was feeling dead serious again. I always felt like this when I had to work again. Being a person with a double life was really painful in so many levels. And so wholesome, somehow. Movies made it seem like an awesome life, but it isn't like that exactly. It is better, and worse.
I guess it is more complex than what they made it seem like.
