Dipper's (POV)
*RING RING*
When school was finally over for the day, I decided to walk home instead of taking the bus like normal. I thought taking a walk could help think better, since the bus is always loud. I headed down the sidewalk to my house, thinking about today's events. I may have made a new friend today, but I think I always made a new enemy.
"Hey Dipper!" I heard my name called. I turn around and saw Wendy there smiling.
"Hey, about today, I over heard Robbie saying that he gave you some pretty nasty glares at you, and I was wondering if that's the reason why you jumped out of your seat so soon." I nodded.
"Yeah it was. I don't think he likes me all that much, Wendy." I say in a down tone. Wendy's smile turns into a frown.
"Hey, you don't think your parents would go nuts if we played hooky tomorrow do you?" Her frown turned into a smirk. I gulped.
"Well, I don't know Wendy."
"Aw come, Dip. Just tell them you're going to school, you meet me at my place, we fool my dad and we're gone." She puts her arm around me as she tells me all this.
"One problem though Wendy. I don't know where you live."
"Yes you do."
"How?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Cause you're already here!" I looked behind me to see that I was in front of a large log cabin.
"Huh, I guess I was so deep in thought, I didn't realize where I was going." I blushed embarrassed.
"Don't sweat it kiddo, it happens to the best of us. So will you do my little plan? Or will Mr. Goody two shoes go to school?"I thought about it for a moment before speaking up again.
"Promise me that we won't get in trouble."
"I promise."
"But you do realize that even if we do skip school, the people at the school's office with let our parents know that we were not there right?" Wendy's smirk deepened.
"Clever boy. Well, lucky for you I have an idea." I raise my eyebrow.
"Okay, so what is it?"
"So I only live with my dad and brothers. So if they call my house, after my dad leaves for work, you answer the phone in your most manliest voice, making them think it's my dad. You tell them I'm sick and can't come in. Then we go to your house after your parents go to work. If the school calls, this time I answer the phone and pretend to be your mom. I say you're sick and can't come in. After that we bounce. Got it?"
I was amazing at how she thought of everything. She was smarter then I thought.
"Clever girl. But do you really think it will work?" She laughs.
"Please, I've done this before rookie. It will work." As Wendy walks away into her house, she turns back at me one more time.
"Remember met me back here got it?" she shouted across the yard.
"Got it!" I shouted back. Wendy smiles and goes into her house. I smile as well and walk back to my house. That night, I couldn't stop thinking about me and Wendy playing hooky. I knew it was wrong, but I really want to impress her. If I can pull this off, she might think I'm really cool. This is a once in a life time chance, I can't mess this up! I won't mess this up, because I have a plan.
The next morning after breakfast, I grabbed my back pack and was out the door. I walked down the side walk to Wendy's house, and boy was I nervous. I was just hoping my plan would work, I really didn't want to mess this up. When I finally spotted Wendy's house, I started to run into the back yard. I didn't want anyone to see me in the front. I wait for a few moments before I heard the front door open. I ran to the side of the house to see Mr. Courdory leave for work. He had a lumberjack uniform on, So I guess He works for the lumbermill.
When he was gone, I ran to the front door, and knocked on the door.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
"Wendy! You there? I came over, just like you said!" The door open and there Wendy was, smiling.
"Dipper, my man, you actually came! I didn't think you would show up, thanks for proving me wrong." she punched my shoulder playfully. Doesn't mean it still didn't hurt though. I rub my shoulder as Wendy lets me in the house.
"Welp, make yourself at home, Dip." Wendy takes a seat on the couch. I take a look around, and the place was huge! It was really nice looking too. I mean, there was a bear rug right by the fireplace in the living room, a large kitchen by the family room, I could even see a balcony overlooking the whole living room upstairs. It was amazing!
"Really nice place you got here Wendy." Wendy smiles and patted a seat next to her.
"Thanks sport. But don't get to cozy, as soon as we finish our plan, we are hittin the town." I gulp. Maybe this was a bad idea after all.
"So where are we going exactly?" I ask nervous.
"We are going to a party, and soon you'll meet all my other friends."
"Okay, but where is this so called party?"
"That old, abandoned house in the middle of the woods." My eyes widen.
"The one that is supposedly haunted and crawling with monsters!?" I remember that old house well, I went one time with my sister, and we both ended up trapped there. We saw horrible things, I promised myself I would never go back.
"Yeah why? You're not scared are you?" I gulp.
"N-no."
"Good! Come on, we got a plan to do." As Wendy walks away to the front door, I could hear my own heart beating out of my chest.
Dear lord, what have I gotten myself into?
