"Would you like some of our new wand sweet tarts or some chocolate frogs?" A plump lady said, sliding our train car door open with out a warning. I jumped at the sudden intrusion, and I swear I saw Cayden hold back a snicker. "Uhhh.. could I get a chocolate frog and a pumpkin pastie? Also some Burtie Bott's Every Flavor Beans." I rummaged through my backpack and finally pulled out my wallet to pay the lady, while she handed me all of my candy in a familiar Honeydukes bag. "Thank you ma'm." I handed her a 5 dollar bill. "Anything for the young man over there?" She asked, eyeing Cayden, who still sat soundlessly in the corner. "No. I'm good thanks." He said, rather rudely, and turned a cold shoulder to the plump lady. She shrugged and closed the car door behind her as she left. "What house are you hoping to get sorted into?" I asked, feeding Ollie a bit of my pumpkin pastie and taking a bite of it myself. "I want nothing to do with Gryffindor. Honestly, all they are is stuck up. Ravenclaw too. Hufflepuffs are stupid, they're always bouncing around. Slytherin is my best bet of surviving in that freaking school." Cayden said bitterly, and I started to wonder 'What is wrong with him? All he does is complain!' Ollie must've sensed my thoughts, because he seemed to whoo in agreement. Although he might've just been begging for more pumpkin pastie. "Hmmm... I personally don't think any of the houses are bad... I don't really care where I get sorted." I hummed, moving on from the pastie to the jelly beans. I made a sour face when I bit down on one that must've been dirt, and quickly spit the jelly bean out in a tissue. "Well, what ever house you get, you're going to end up regretting it I tell you that!" Cayden snorted, splaying his legs out on his seat like he owned the place. I was starting to like him less and less, the more he opened his mouth. Maybe I should've left him under his suitcase, and just helped his owl. The rest of the ride was silent. I didn't want to keep talking to Cayden, so I resorted to sharing bits and pieces of my snacks with Ollie and staring at the passing British countryside.

"Hogwarts students. Welcome to the campus. A guide will be meeting you on the platform. He will be expecting you to line up in an orderly manner, and listen to the instructions he will give you respectfully." An automated voice echoed through the corridors, and I heard kids packing their stuff back up into their bags, and getting ready to leave their car. I quickly shoved all of my snacks into my backpack, and tried to get Ollie back into his cage. But he wasn't having any of it, he fought me, purposely holding on to the outside of the cage so I couldn't shove him in. "Ollie, you're not keeping your end of the bargain! I'll keep you in this cage for a long time if you don't listen now!" I threatened, and when Ollie turned to glare at me, I put on my best glare and glared back. Ollie eventually gave in, and let me put him into his cage. "Pfttt. Fighting with your owl. He's going to be useless if you want him to carry anything for you." Cayden snorted, passing by me, suitcase in hand, out of the car. I really should've left him under suitcase mountain. I grabbed my stuff, threw my backpack over my shoulder, and stepped out onto the Hogwarts castle platform. "This way boys and girls! In an orderly line please! First years over here, second years an above, you know where to go! Show the newbies where to go too!" A gruff voice shouted, and I wouldn't be surprised if he said his lungs were made out of barrels, because his voice was so low. I scuttled around towering year 8's, and everyone in between, trying to avoid bumping into people. Well that didn't work out so well for me. An absolutely gigantic 6th year, who was running across the platform, rammed into my stomach, sending me flying into the air. Did I mention I am short and scrawny for my age? Well, it certainly didn't come in handy at that particular moment. My suitcase landed on the ground with a loud thump, and Ollie in his cage didn't look too happy to be dropped suddenly either. I tried to gather myself, and my stuff and get to the place where the voice told me to go, but the wind was knocked out of my lungs and I found it hard to breathe.
