Nightmares

I sat up gasping and drenched in sweat. I got up and straightened my tank top and shorts. After brushing back my hair, I opened the window next to my bed and breathed in the morning air, letting the coolness of it soothe my head. Little did I know that that would not be the last time I would see one of the new kids in my dreams.

I got up and got dressed in the only color scheme i had; monochromatic. Today I was wearing my velvet choker with the red stone (i never took it off), a pair of black tights, my ass-kicking half-calf high leather boots with the buckles on the side, a white dress shirt with a black vest over it, a blood-red tie, and a pair of short shorts. i was rolling up the sleeves on my dress shirt up to my elbows when my best friend Lindsey honked at me.

i started putting on black eyeliner, dark red lipstick and a little mascara. after i finished putting those on, i gently put in my contacts and picked up my bag. At this point, Lindsey was practically leaning on her horn. i quickly grabbed a granola bar off of the counter and ran to the car shushing her fiercely. 'people are still sleeping! geez!' i whispered fiercely. She smirked and said 'maybe next time you'll be on time when i honk the first time.' i sighed and smiled at her.

As far as i know, Lindsey is the only person who isn't afraid of me.

On the way to school, i started humming a welsh lullaby to myself. when we hit a red light, Lindsey turned off the radio and said "go ahead Eid. I know you want to sing when you hum." I smiled my thanks at her as my words began spilling out.

Right when the lullaby ended, we got to school. i looked at the clock and saw that we were half an hour early. i looked at Lindsey and said 'i'll be in the library. see you in first period chem.' She nodded and said 'see you there Eid.'

I am going to hate first period chem.
