Chapter 25: Who knew he could get another date?
That very next morning, on Christmas eve, at five o'clock Lucy woke. The dream she had had made immediate sense. Even the two people made sense. The woman was Lucy and Harry's mother and the man was Harry's father. Him was Snape. But did James (Harry's dad) mention that he had a brother?
No he couldn't have, everyone knows James didn't have a brother Lucy thought. She gently removed Fred's arm from around her as instead of putting an arm around her they had ended up in an awkward embrace during sleep. And with her body she replaced a pillow which Fred hugged passionately (causing Lucy to almost fall over with laughter.)
She took both of their hands (which she had been holding) and linked them with each others and Lucy had to leave the common room to let a bit of laughter out before turning into a doe and running down to Hogsmeade as everywhere else seemed inappropriate to go, especially at five o'clock in the evening.
It was just beggining to snow as Lucy made it outside, she didn't mind though and even enjoyed make tracks as an animal through the snow (as it made life more interesting.) She headed down to the three broomsticks and peered inside the window.
There were two figures looming by the bar and before even bothering to make out the side of one of their faces she knew who they were.
Snape and Shona.
But what were they doing in the three broomsticks at five o'clock in the morning? Lucy was only down here to grab some butterbeer to make her feel better.
To enter, though, she knew what she had to do. She turned her hair black and wavier than her usual hair, her eyes brown and made herself more like a woman than a child. She used the summoning charm and she received her school robes. She made them longer and took off the Gryffindor patch, she slipped them on and peered at herself in the window.
She looked just like a passer by, she smiled then pushed open the door to the bar. She walked towards Snape and Shona but ignored them as the woman behind the bar turned her attention to Lucy.
"What can I get you, miss?" She asked and Lucy desperately tried to change her voice so it sounded older and more mature rather than her timid school girl voice.
"One butterbeer please," she said and her voice turned out quite well, she smiled proudly at her achievement and left the woman to get her order.
She sat at the bar and turned to look at Snape, he was staring at her with his mouth open. If he finds me attractive I'm going up to the astronomy tower and throwing myself off of it Lucy thought glaring at Snape.
"You know, Snivels, I wish you'd hurry up and ask that woman out!" Shona hissed nodding her head towards the woman who was getting Lucy's butterbeer from behind the bar.
"Yes but it's not as easy as that, McGuire." Snape sighed, turning away from Lucy and looking at Shona.
"Think of it as a one night's stand, like with all the other women you've had!" Shona grinned and Lucy had to hide her face because she was going red from laughter.
"McGuire!" Snape hissed.
"Alright, alright, keep your wig on. If you're not going to ask her to the Yule ball I'll ask her for you - Yo, Jenny!"
"Yes?" The woman called Jenny asked as she put Lucy's butterbeer in front of her.
"Will you go to the Yule ball with my, er, 'friend' here?" Shona smiled.
"Oh! I'll have to think about that one!" She blushed
Shona winked at Snape. "I'm a fully trained love doctor! And if all else fails ask her there!" She whispered and nodded at Lucy but unfortunately Lucy heard. She looked at Snape a little horrified.
