The next night, at around one am, josh heard the same pinging noise against his window as he did the previous night. Sure enough, when josh peered outside his window, stood a similing tyler joseph.

Josh opened his windowand leaned out of it, "where are you wisking me off to for tonight, Mr.Joseph?"

Tyler laughed at that. Josh swore his smile could light up the whole neighborhood. "Its another surprise, my dear joshua."

Josh laughed and rolled his eyes as he shut the window. He changed his clothes and hurried downstairs, where him and tyler met in his front lawn once again.

They hadn't said anything to each other before tyler said, "we need to use your car to get to where we're going tonight."

"Wha-why?" Josh asked. "Why cant we just go somewhere close?"

"Because i want to go to this place really bad and my car is nonexistent at the moment. I promise it wont be for long and its not too far away. Its like 15 minutes away."

Josh sighed and turned back into the house to get his keys. When he came back out, tyler was already standng by the passenger door. Josh giggles to himself and unlocked the car doors.

Josh started the car and pulled out of the drive way, heading toward 750 East. Tyler started going through joshs CD collection. He flipped through numbers of CDs when suddenly he started laughing hysterically.

"What are you luaghing at?" Josh asked through his own laughter.

Tyler sucked in a deep breath and held up the NSYNC cd that was tucked away in the case. when josh saw what he was holding up, he demanded to put it in the player.the two drove down the highway at 1:20in the morning blasting Bye Bye Bye, just like any normal teenager.

It didnt take long for them to get to the city. Tyler directed josh to the place he wanted to get to. The city streets were mostly dead.

Josh parked in front of one of the tallest buildngs in the city. It loomed probably 65 stories above its surrounding buildings. Tyler rang a buzzer and the door unlocked. Wearily, josh followed tyler into the building.

josh assumed it was an apartment building as he saw the wall fupl of mailboxes.

Tyler pressed the elevator button and it was there and opening within seconds.

The ride seemed to take forever as the inclined inside the walls of the building.

josh watched tyler's eyes stay glued to the numbers that were lighting up above the elevator door, signifying which floor they were passing by, for quite some time now. The light was dim in the elevator, but tyler's eyes still glimmered and sparkled. josh hypothesized that they did that naturally.

The elevator stopped on the very top floor. tyler let josh off the elevator first, then guided him to about six flights of stairs, before they reached a door. tyler then punched a few numbers into a keypad to open up.

The door opened to a wide open roof top that overlooked the whole city. From there, josh could see the bridges that crossed over the Scioto River. He could even see the park his grandparents took him to. He could see everything.

"Holy shit." josh whispered under his breath, his wide smile hurting his face. He turned to tyler who was smiling just as much as he was. "This is incredible."

"This is one of my favorite places to go." tyler stated, wandering to the edge of the building. "I usually get a bus here and then I get one home. But driving here was much more efficient." he chuckled.

"How did you discover this?" josh questioned, still in awe of the city lights.

"I don't really remember how I found it. I just remember coming here a lot when I figured out the bus system. It's kind of like a secret spot."

Josh sat on the edge of the building and looked down. If he fell, he would without a doubt be falling to his death. He felt tyler grab his wrist as josh leaned over the edge.

"I have never showed this to anyone." tyler stated, his thumb running over the small, pointed out bones near josh's knuckles.

Jodh felt his face warm and his smile softened a little bit. "Why are you telling me?"

"Because I feel like you deserve to know."

Josh looked at Tyler, his brow furrowed. "Why? I ignored you for five years."

Tyler chuckled to himself and looked out over the city. "You're the only one who talked to me for seven years prior to that."

Josh smiled a little and had to fight back the urge of tackling Tyler in a hug since they were on a ledge of a very high building. So, he settled on holding tyler's hand in his own, over looking the lit city.

shit man. I'm tired. :)
