Keith woke up to the sound of blaring alarms coming from the intercom. Shit. Another attack.

Keith got dress as quickly as possible, he ran to the main room where he surprisingly saw a totally calm Allura waiting.
"Wonderful Keith! First paladin here."
Just as she was about to continue in walks Pidge and Hunk, obviously half asleep. Allura raised an eyebrow but brushed it off with a "Good morning paladins." After a few minutes of waiting Shiro came running is with Lance closely behind.
"Shiro, Lance, I'm rather disappointed." Keith gave Lance a reassuring looks when he noticed he looked very upset.
"Sorry princess." Both Shiro and Lance mumbled.
"Well I'm glad you could finally join us... Anyway, today you five will be doing individual training! You still don't know how to properly form form Voltron from within yourselves!" Loud groans came from everyone but Shiro and I.
"Come on team! Allura is right. We need practice. Not only as a team but as individuals. Now come on, go to your hangers."
After a few half hearted "yes sirs" everyone was heading to their lions.

Lance couldn't believe he had been late. He was so embarrassed when Keith looked at him like that. Ever since last night Lance's thoughts were surging with reasons to explain why Keith was being so nice all of the sudden. Lance wasn't that mad at Keith anymore, but he still wasn't sure of what to think of him. Regardless he quickly assembled himself in his blue paladin armor. Blue had always been his favorite color but now when he looks at the color he gets a bitter sweet feeling. Everytime he saw the color blue he felt like he was falling...
Lance was to busy prossesing all these emotions and thoughts he forgot to meet the team. He scrambed to his lion and met the team outside.

Again, Lance was the last one holding back the team.
"What's going on with you today Lance! Put yourself together" Shiro said sharply. Lance flinched. He played it off quickly with a joke. "You know me, I've got to have my beauty sleep."
"Well if this wouldn't have been a drill your 'beauty sleep could have cost us a lot! Lance I am not goingto tell you again, pull yourself together!" Shiro yelled sharply. This time Lance didn't have a funny line to say. Lance thought Shiro was right. Lance silently scolded himself for his slip up.
"Shiro chill out, stop being so hard on Lance, you were late this morning too." Keith said in a calm tone.
"You're right Keith. I'm sorry Lance." Shiro said in huff.

"Okay paladins!" Allura said cheerfully "This training exercise is, well, very advanced. Really we shouldn'tbe attempting this so soon but given our circumstances we are in a but of a rush."
Corn abruptly started chattering into the intercom
"So we will be giving each of you a task. These are no ordinary tasks however. Each paladin will have to retrieve something from a near by planet. Each paladin will be giving a planet. These planets may or may not be hostile so you will have to be alert."
"Pidge, from your planet you will have to collect a sapling."
"Easy" within seconds pidge had blasted off.
"Hunk, you will have to collect a dirt sample from a Balmera."
"Alright." Hunk too blasted off
"Shiro, you will need to obtain a Skultrite disk."
"Yes sir." Shiro blasted off quickly
"Keith, for your item you will have to locate a rare type of metal. Bring back small pieces"
"Sure" keith stalled for a moment. He didn't leave right away.
"Keith what are you waiting for?" Lance inquired.
"Nothing. Just waiting."
"And finally Lance... uhm so what you have to retrieve isn't exactly physical. You will need to acquire information about the Galra. Any way possible. Good luck paladins!"
Lance didn't get to say anything before the intercom shut off. Then he heard Keith talking.
"Good luck Lance. Stay safe..." and again before Lance could reply Keith jetted off. Lance soon behind.
